Old style pretties

I've sort of lost my way from my old style shabbyish/pretty cards lately and if I'm honest I missed it.  After finishing this card I've decided I need more foo-foo pretty cards in my craft room so today I've decided to play (aka making a mess in this room haha).

I used a paper pad I picked up at The Works as a start, loved the soft aqua and pink.  I die cut the floral layer with the Notched Squares Dies from Whimsy Stamps, and used a TH lace die for a bit of extra dimension.

I did the stamped panel by stamping and colouring the Brick Background stamp with copic markers on the bottom part of the panel then inked up the sky.  I die cut a piece of acetate with the clouds from the Cloud and Edger die set and used that as a stencil together with Tumbled Glass distress oxide.

I coloured  Polka Dot Pals Khadija with copic markers and fussy cut her out to pop on the panel, just sitting on the brick wall.

Copic colours used:
Hair: E44, 42, 40
Skin: E04, 11, 00, 000, R20
Aqua: BG32, 11, 10
Pink: RV34, 32, 11
Brick Wall: E17, 15, 13, W5, 1

I used the large star from the Primitive Shaker Dies for the star behind the panel, I cut this from some of the background paper and finished off with a digi sentiment from the Vintage Sentiments set to finish off the card, along with some mulberry flowers and sequins.

  1. Very pretty, love the soft colour of the papers x Susan x

  2. What an enchantingly sweet, beautiful gem of a make. Love the soft hues and stellar stitched edge die cut layers.
