Fresh Friday

It's Fresh Friday on the Whimsy Blog where some of the DT girlies feature and mix up products old and new.

This week I've had a play with the Illusions Background Stamp and the Celebrate Word and Shadow Die Set.  And because I'm a rebel rule-breaker I also used the Leaf Foliage 2 Die Set

I used one of Kristinia Werner's Distress Oxide Ink blend recipes - I used Old Paper, Evergreen Bough and Black Soot and inked this on to Bristol Smooth card.  Once it was dry I inked up the background stamp using Versamark then heat embossed the panel with Wow White Superfine Embossing Powder.  I much prefer doing it this way as opposed to stamping then inking because it's way easier to see any rouge flecks of powder that you would otherwise miss when embossing white on white.

I trimmed the panel, matted on to black cardstock and adhered to the card base.  I finished off with the die cut sentiment and some leaves which I adhered on to a circle of vellum.
