Bearing Gifts

I've had a change of heart with card-making, I was stuck in a total rut till I thought I would try going back to "cute" images and I fell back in love with card-making again after finishing this card.  I LOVED playing with creating a scene for my little bear from the Bearing Gifts Stamp Set from Whimsy Stamps  Talking of that little bear, isn't it just the cutest thing ever?  That bum! 💖😁

I started off by inking up the panel with Tumbled Glass oxide ink for the clouds.  I used the same stencil I made for my previous card (the Grass and Cloud Edger Die Set) then used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass.  I also die cut a layer of the inked green to make the grass more 3D.  I die cut the panel with the Wonky Stitched Rectangles die set then adhered the grass layer on top.  I used a sentiment from the  Fly By stamp set.

I coloured the Bear, Presents, Balloons and Party Hat with copic markers and fussy cut them out before layering them on to the card panel and finished off with some tiny little die cut flowers and some gems.

I really did love making this card, it certainly got my creative juices flowing again!

You're too fabulous

Love the sentiment on this card.  It's from the Giraffe Hello clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps, as are the trees and the cute giraffe.

I started off by inking a long slim panel with Tumbled Glass distress ink and a cloud stencil I made from card using the Grass and Cloud Edger Die Set, and used the same die set to make a stencil for the grass.  I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to get the grassy layers.

I die cut the Slimline Waves Die and popped it over the inked panel with some foam tape, then adhered the trees and giraffe in place and finished off with a heat embossed sentiment and some clear sequins.

Whimsy Stamps Create A Scene

I did some simple ink blending and stamping for this quick thank you card.  I started off by masking and ink blending a circle with Distress Oxide inks - I used Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Blueprint Sketch, then splattered some water drops on the inking.

The trees from the Create A Scene - Forest rubber stamp were stamped with Memento black ink, along with the sentiment from the Fly By stamp set.

I die cut the panel from the Wonky Stitched Rectangles die set and adhered this to the card base with foam tape.  I finished off with some black Nuvo Drops.

Cheesy Birthday Shaker Card

I'm still trying to catch up with mesel' after Christmas and didn't realise how the time had run away from me, hence the blog being so quiet.  I've got a whole heap of January birthdays coming up so it's always helpful to add to the pile and even better when I can use the cards for the boys and men., something I really struggle with.

I die cut the Whimsy Stamps Swiss Dots Die from patterned paper from the Giraffe Paper Pack and used this to make a shaker card, though before I did this I used the die cut as a template to adhere the waste circles back in to place ... I wasn't too fussed on the white holes. I then fussy cut out some elephants (also from the paper pad) and added a die cut Happy Word Die sentiment and a stamped birthday strip from the You're my Favourite stamp set.

Layered Peruvian Lily

Happy New Year!  I truly hope 2020 is going to be a good year for us all.

It's also happy new release day at Whimsy Stamps, and I've used a few new goodies on my card today starting off with the fabulous Layered Peruvian Lily stamp set.  This set is so quick and easy to use, two layers of inking and stamping and you have the prettiest flowers.  I went with peach and coral as my colours, with a couple of soft greens for the leaves.  I fussy cut the flowers and leaves out as there are no matching dies for the stamps.

I made a rectangle frame from the new Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies then popped this up with foam pads over the background that I made by using the fab new Giraffe Stencil, and my favourite Distress Ink - Pumice Stone.  That colour just goes with everything I think.  I added some black splatters before popping on the frame and flowers and finished off with a heat embossed sentiment from the Peruvian Lily stamp set and some Nuvo Drops.
