Meadow Road

I had a few spare hours so spent a Saturday afternoon with my copic markers.  Meadow Road by Whimsy Stamps was perfect, and I had a blast colouring this stamp up.

It's a good sized stamp so I kept the rest of the card simple with a wood background, some gingham ribbon, a digital sentiment from the Everyday Banner Sentiments and a few dots of black Nuvo Drops.   I dropped them straight from the bottle on to some freezer paper (waste from double sided foam square sheets works great too) and allowed them to dry before adhering to my card with some wet glue.  They're glossier and more dimensional done this way and don't disappear into the paper like they can do when applied direct to paper from the bottle.

CAS Butterflies

I'm back to girly today with a CAS card.  I really love this Butterflies Fluttering stamp set from Whimsy Stamps, and this time I didn't even colour the butterfly!  Instead I stamped and heat embossed on to a piece of left over peachy pink paper that I'd used as the centre panel on the card.

I stamped the Farmhouse Shiplap background stamp onto white card with Weathered Wood Distress Ink and finished off with a doily die cut from grey card, a digital sentiment from the Everyday Banner Sentiments and a few dots of black Nuvo Drops.  As always, I make the drops onto freezer paper and allow to dry before adhering to my card with some wet glue.  I find I get a much better and glossy shape that is definitely more dimensional than if I just pop them straight onto the card direct from the bottle.  I'm totally Awkward Annie! 😜

Whimsy StampsWhimsy Stamps released a great stamp set this month aimed at family of men and women in the military service.  I did some heat embossing on the heart and sentiment, and teamed this up with the Camo Background stamp (I used Weathered Wood distress ink)

I love the colour of the background, it sort of reminds me of a Toile print so I'm going to try this to make a more Bev style card with flowers and lace.

Best Buddies

Whimsy Stamps have released the sweetest stamp set this month - Best Buddies, perfect for cards for little lads and their dogs.  And seriously, could this be any cuter??

I used a paper pad I picked up from The Range, love these soft muted colours.  I kept it simple with a banner layer and some twine and Nuvo Crystal Drops to finish the card off.  I drop the Nuvo Drops onto freezer paper and leave overnight to dry then adhere them to the card with some liquid glue.  I find they are way more dimensional and even shaped doing them this way as opposed to straight from the bottle on to the card.

I coloured the image with Copic markers:

Hair: E29, 25, 50
Shirt: C3, 1, 0, 00
Jeans: B97, 95, 93, 91
Doggie: E35, 51, 50

I created the sky using a mask and Tumbled Glass distress ink.
