Whimsy Stamps and WOW! Collaborative Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Wow! and Whimsy Stamps collaborative blog hop.  Whimsy Stamps is my favourite stamp company (as if you didn't know, ha!) and Wow! Embossing Powders are my EP's of choice.  In fact I only use Wow! powders - I hadn't even realised that!

For my first two cards (scroll down for the other card) I made two because I wasn't sure how the Silver Pearl embossing powder would show up against the white card in the photo.  I needn't have worried, it photographed great!  I used Inca Glintz for the gold card.  I heat embossed the Wood Grain Background Stamp then die cut using the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles die set.

I heat embossed the Wood Grain Background Stamp with Wow! Inca Glintz and Wow! Silver Pearl embossing powders.  I also heat embossed the die cut Leaf Foilage with Wow! Mint Macaroon embossing powder, and finished off with a foamiran Peony Flower and a digital sentiment from the Everyday Banner Sentiments.

For my third card I used Wow! Opaque Bright White embossing powder to heat emboss the Spiral Roses Background Stamp on to watercolour paper.  I then added distress oxides in pinks, coral and yellow and die cut the shaped card with the Notched Squares die set.  I added a butterfly from the Butterflies Fluttering Stamp Set which I heat embossed using the Opaque Bright White on vellum.  I used the same white to heat emboss the sentiment from the Painted Sayings stamp set on to black card and finished off with the Friend die, the drop shadow set it off beautifully!

New home CAS style

I'm really enjoying a break from all the frills and foofiness with these CAS cards.  I think this one is the most CAS I've ever done, and I wasn't even tempted to fiddle, ha!  I've used one of the new releases at Whimsy Stamps, Build a Garden die set.

I picked up this stunning paper pad from The Works a while back, it is just so perfect for these sweet little bird houses.

A sentiment from the Fly By clear stamps set and one new home card done!

Take Care Panda Bear

Whimsy Stamps have released these adorable Panda Butt stamps and matching Panda Butt die set as part of this month's release.  They were originally part of a Paper Door kit so if you missed out on these cuties, now's your chance to grab them.

I teamed the pandas up with the new Peekaboo Window 4 die.  I love how these bears work with the window die!

The bears are soooo easy to colour, I used C7,5,3,1,0 and 00 with a touch of R30 for the ears.

I heat embossed a sentiment on to black card and popped some green glitter card (also from a Paper Door kit) behind the circles for a little bit of bling.  The bamboo was stamped with Shabby Shutters distress ink.
