Guess who dug out the old watercolours and some Whimsy Stamps goodies and had a play? It's been an absolute age since I had the time to fiddle about and try something very different, and I had a blast. It's a lot easier than it looks and I'm really happy with how this card turned out.
I stamped the Wire Background Stamp onto watercolour card and heat embossed with some white Wow embossing powder. I then taped down the paper onto a board and brushed on water, then splodged on red and black Gansai Tambi watercolours, lifting the colour if it looked too dark with a piece of paper towel. I then got very brave and spattered red, black and white onto the background. Go me!!
I decided the wire background wasn't standing out enough so I created a drop shadow using a C3 copic marker. What a difference that made.
I then used the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles to cut out the panel.
I stamped out and coloured the butterflies from the Butterflies Fluttering stamp set. I used C5,7 and 9 for the black and RV 14, 13 and 10 for the hot pink. I fussy cut these out and adhered them on to the card with some thin double sided foam squares.
A sentiment from my Everyday Banner Sentiments (digi) and a few flat-back gems and job done.
