Snowflake Wishes

Pink and fairies just seem to go together seamlessly don’t you think?  I dug out some non-Christmas papers for this card, and coloured up Snowflake Wishes by Whimsy Stamps accordingly because I’m kinda anal about colours matching lol.

Copic colours used are:
Hair: E44, 42, 40
Skin: E04, 11, 00, 000, R20
Grey: C3, 1, 0, 00
Pink: RV34, 32, 10, 000

I made a hellebore using foamiran and the Lily Flower Die Set.  This flower is so easy to make Smile

Lots and lots of glitter, including some glitter card leaves.  I think I went bling cray-cray ha!

I heat embossed a sentiment from the Holiday Mini Sentiments stamp set onto pink card with some white embossing powder.  I can’t count the number of times I reach for this stamp set, it’s just perfect!

Angel Wishes

I sound like a broken record buuuuut, I really do adore the images by Marina Fedotova that Whimsy Stamps does.  Today’s card features Angel Wishes, you get a double dose of sweetness with this one.

I used the fabulous Notched Squares Die Set for the card shape, and an old Martha Stewart punch for the border on the dark panel.

Copic colours used:

Skin: E04, 11, 00, 000, R20
Dark Hair: E44, 43, 41, 40
Fair Hair: E35, 53, 51, 50
Blue Dress & Cloud: BV20, B32. 41, 000, 0000
White Dress: BV20, C3, 1, 0, 00
Stars: YR24, 21, Y11
Wings: BV20, C0, B0000

I made a simple poinsettia from foamiran and the Lily Flower Die Set.  The little blue flowers are also foamiran, I used an old blossom punch for these and glued 4 layers together before filling the centres with a whole bunch of platinum coloured stamens (I painted the stamens to get the colour I wanted).  I die cut some platinum glitter holly leaves and white mistletoe leaves from the Christmas Branches die set and finished off with some distressed organza ribbon and some wee polystyrene snowballs.

The snowflake frame is a Find It die (Marieke or Amy’s line??, can’t remember).  I finished off with a sentiment from my all time favourite Christmas sentiment stamp set – Holiday Mini Sentiments.  They just have every sentiment I could ever need and in the most perfect size too.

I don’t often make blue cards but I love how this one turned out.

Pink + slider + shaker = Christmas!

I’ve decided pink is my new favourite colour for Christmas and teamed with gold it’s just so pretty.  I made another simple slider card using the fabulous Kinetic dies from Whimsy Stamps, but also added a shaker element and some heat embossing.

Apologies for the photos, this card was a bit of a mare to photograph with all the bling!

I heat embossed the Snow Flurry Background stamp with gold glitter embossing powder onto pink pearlescent card, then cut out the slider and adhered a piece of craft foam to the back to allow for the slider element.  I adhered this to gold mirror card once the slider element was in place.  I made a mini shaker greeting using the fabulous Happy Frame Die Set and matching Happy Sayings Sentiment Stamps.  I finished it off by adding some gold pearls to the centres of the snowflakes.

Kinetic Dies at Whimsy Stamps

Whimsy Stamps has a surprise die release today of some brilliant Kinetic Dies.  The DT are sharing their fabulous makes on the Whimsy Stamps Blog

I have used the Curved Basics Die Set to make this sweet slider card.  I inked up the white card with distress inks – Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Black Soot, then stamped and heat embossed some snowflakes in the “sky”.  The snow is die cut from white glitter card to give some added bling.  I just love the way the little penguin jumps from side to side to land safely on his chunk of ice.

Merry Wishes

I’m back to traditional Christmas colours for today’s card, which features the super sweet Merry Wishes from the latest Whimsy Stamps release.  Isn’t she just the sweetest little poppet?

Copic markers used are:

Skin: E04, 11, 00, 000, R20
Hair: E27
Fur and skirt: W3, 1,0, 00
Red: R39, 37, 35, 32
Green: BG99, G28, 24, 21
Gold: Y28, YR23, Y13

I made the poinsettias from red card and glitter card instead of foamiran for a change, I LOVE how these turned out.  The red card was just what I have in my stash, nothing special.  I die cut the red petals using the Lily Flower Die Set and the glitter card layers using the Build a Poinsettia Die set then spritzed the red petals with water and twisted them and allowed them to almost dry.  I then unravelled them and used a ball tool on the back of the petals onto a foam pad to get some shape.  The card holds the shape beautifully once dry, there’s no shifting these puppies!  I layered up a red set of petals, then gold then offset the final red layer and pulled some gold stamens through the centre.  I think I actually prefer the cardstock flowers to the foam!

I finished off the arrangement with some berries and leaves from the Christmas Branches die set.

The delectable paper is Christmas Jingle from Anna Marie Designs, the sentiment is from the Christmas Memories Clear Stamps set
