Last card for 2018

Just popping on to share my last card for 2018, and it’s also the last of the quick and simple ones I did on the run up to Christmas.  This one was soooo easy, I even surprised myself haha.  A digital sentiment from the digital Christmas Sentiments (which comes in black, red, gold and silver), some digital paper from The Lovely Studio and some die cut leaves.  Grey, silver and white was definitely my colours for this Christmas season, I simply adore these colours together.

More merry wishes

Phew, what a week!  I’m all sorted for Christmas now though after the day I had battling the traffic, road works, crowds and ragey shoppers if I’ve forgotten anything then too darn bad.  All this ridiculous hoopla for one day …. I just don’t get it.  I saw two old biddies about to bash each other over a packet of stuffing.  Seriously, no jokes.  I gave them a wide berth, I can tell you haha.

When I coloured the image for this card I coloured it twice (I’m all about making as many cards as I can at Christmas lol) so although the colours are the same I think using the dark red Nordic paper changed the image up a fair bit from the other card.  I also used white and gold paper flowers instead of the red flowers, the red paper sets them off beautifully.

I used one of my new digital Christmas Sentiments (which comes in black, red, gold and silver) and cut it into a banner.

Merry Wishes was coloured with copic markers:

Skin: E04, 11, 00, 000, R20
Hair: E27
Fur and skirt: W3, 1,0, 00
Red: R39, 37, 35, 32
Green: BG99, G28, 24, 21
Gold: Y28, YR23, Y13

I used watercolour paper and glitter paper to make the poinsettias (using my Lily Flower die set) and I used tiny gold jingle bells for the centres.  I used a little Christmas Light button that I bought here in the UK, Whimsy Stamps has very similar buttons here

I absolutely slathered this card in glittery bling because …. XMAS!!

Merry Stars

I have one more quick and simple card to share after this one, then that’s me done for production line cards for 2018.  Today’s card is mainly die cutting – the Merry Large Word Die and the Pierced Stars Die Set was cut from red glitter card and vellum and I finished off with some stamping in the corners using the FaDoodles Clear Stamps

A bit of bling and silver cord and job done.  I’ve really enjoyed making my Christmas cards this year, it makes a lovely change from the overly fussy cards I tend to make.  CAS cards rock!!

My card was inspired by so many cards on The Lovely Studion Blog (which is where the divine digi papers are from) and in particular this card.  I love the layering of the sparkly glitter card on the vellum.  Dee-lish!

CAS Christmas

Here’s another of my “make it fast” production line cards.  I found myself far more organised this year by repeating a few cards several times to get as many made as I could and actually …. I’m sending more handmade than bought this year!  Go me lol.

For today’s card I took some die cuts … Evergreen Trees, Envelope Edgers, Christmas Branch die set,  then stamped a sentiment from the You’re my Jolly and Everyday Scripted Sentiment stamps and… job done.  I edged the card with white gel pen to give a stitched effect and finished off with some silver bling for the berries.

I’ve had a production line going for the past few weeks trying to get extra Christmas cards made.  Here’s one of the designs I did, very easy to replicate with the Misti.  What did we ever do before stamp positioners??

I stamped the Cozy Blanket background stamp with Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink.  This ink is the shizzle, it stays white even on kraft card.  I’ve wasted so much money on “white” ink pads that discolour when stamped, this one does what it says on the tin.  I die cut both layers with the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle die set then popped the kraft layer up with some foam tape.  I stamped out some snowflakes from the Snow Flurry clear stamps and heat embossed with gold sparkle embossing powder, then die cut them out.  All that was left was to die cut the word Sparkle from white glitter card and fun foam, layer and adhere in place.  I finished off with some white and gold twine, some bling and some paint spots (I cheated and used a chalk marker …. Bev does NOT often brave messy paint spatters haha.)

I’m glad I managed to capture some of the shine, it’s been such a dark and dreary day here today.

I have quite a few more quick and easy cards to share in the next couple of weeks.

Snowflake Wishes

Pink and fairies just seem to go together seamlessly don’t you think?  I dug out some non-Christmas papers for this card, and coloured up Snowflake Wishes by Whimsy Stamps accordingly because I’m kinda anal about colours matching lol.

Copic colours used are:
Hair: E44, 42, 40
Skin: E04, 11, 00, 000, R20
Grey: C3, 1, 0, 00
Pink: RV34, 32, 10, 000

I made a hellebore using foamiran and the Lily Flower Die Set.  This flower is so easy to make Smile

Lots and lots of glitter, including some glitter card leaves.  I think I went bling cray-cray ha!

I heat embossed a sentiment from the Holiday Mini Sentiments stamp set onto pink card with some white embossing powder.  I can’t count the number of times I reach for this stamp set, it’s just perfect!
