Penguin Saint Nick

A little penguin card for a change, because .... penguins!! All the links to the Whimsy Stamps products are at the end of the post.

I used the following copic markers to colour the image

Pengin: C9, 7,5; 1,0,00; YR24, 21, 31, 30; YR24, 21, Y11
Ribbon: BG99,G29, 24, 21, 20
Hat/scarf: R29, 27, 24, 22

And of course I made some foamiran poinsettias

The poinsettias are so quick and easy to make using the lily die.  I have't forgotten about the videos, they are made and I'm waiting for my computer .... again.  My old one came back and died after a day so I ordered a new one from Laptops Direct.  Sadly they mis-sold me a computer that actually doesn't exist and I'm struggling to get my £500 back so I can go and buy another one, they are playing the lets ignore the old bat and she'll go away game.  Yeah, like that's going to happen.  That's one company to avoid like the plague, for sure.

The papers are what I pulled out of my huge box of Christmas papers, not sure who they're by.

Spectacular Foamiran Christmas Workshop in Nottingham

Whoop!  I'm booked up for the Christmas Workshop being hosted by Love to Craft & Create and taught by the amazing Ewa Constancja in Nottingham.

Places are limited so if you're interested then pop across to the Love to Craft & Create Facebook page to get all the details.  I've done a few of Ewa's workshops and they truly are amazing.  I can't sing her praises highly enough, I've learned so much from her.

Don't these flowers and berries look sublime?

Christmas Memories

Each year I like to make a very special friend of mine gift tags for her presents, she loves all things Christmas so I try to go the extra mile when wrapping her gifts.

I went with a vintage theme using her favourite colours.  They were so quick and easy to make too.

I kept them fairly simple, with some stamping in Distress Inks on lightly patterned paper, with gold card and glitter to lift them.  I made the little poinsettias using some of the left over paper and a sheet of gold glitter card.

And before I close this post out, just a quick heads up that Whimsy Stamps needs support for the disaster relief efforts underway in Southwest Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma by purchasing the special Helping Hands clear stamp set.  It  will be on sale from now to the end of  December, and Whimsy Stamps will generously donate all proceeds from the sale of each set to aid in disaster relief efforts.
The set is available to purchase as a pre-order now for $14US and will begin shipping in mid October.

Shabby With Love

Another break from Christmas (tho’ I’ve another Christmas project on my blog on Wednesday) so it’s back to the ole shabby chic again, with the super necessary foamiran flowers lol.
I’ll post the links at the bottom as I’ve been doing lately.  Think it’s easier to find everything when it’s all in one place rather than dotted all over the shop.

I LOVE how the little clematis turned out, I used my lily die.  I have my computer back so hope to get some videos done in the next couple of days.  I’ve got lily, clematis and poinsettia videos planned.

I found a box full of bottle tops, stickers and glass domes that I picked up at the CHA years ago.  To be honest, I can’t even remember buying them!  I gave the bottle top a couple coats white paint.

As always, the inside matches the front.

One of the Christmas cards I've been working on for the latest Whimsy Stamps release featuring the fab new dies - Christmas Branches and Wonderland Word set.  I also used the Lily Flower die set to make the poinsettias.

Ugh, I struggled with getting the true colour in the photographs - I tried photograping inside and out and this is about the best I could get.  White background paper and bright red flowers don't photograph well together 😤

I used red foamiran for the flowers, edged the petals with a touch of gold paint, then added some crushed glass to the petals and berries for a frosty look.

The papers are a mix - the poinsettia print is from The Range.  It's so pretty IRL with lots of sparkly glitter and texture.  The dark green is by Personal Impressions, I've had it for years.  Always knew it would come in handy eventually 😂

I love how versatile the lily die is, so far I've made lilies (natch), poinsettias and clematis.  Not bad for what started out life as a wee doodle whilst I was on the phone!

You're wonderful!

I've been busy with new release stuff that's been all about Christmas, so I decided to take a break from them and have a play with pretty papers and colours.  Links to the products used will be at the end of the post.

I made some foamiran flowers, I love foamiran so much I don't even think to use ready made flowers any more.

The sweet little daisy was made at one of the fabulous workshops arranged by Monika and taught by Ewa Constanza.

I coloured the flowers with oil pastels.

I gave the chipboard frame a coat of white paint to make it pop off the card
