Little Christmas Angel

A very pink and girly Christmas card featuring one of the new Whimsy Stamps releases.  I adore Crissy Armstrong's images and this newest one is so so sweet.

I coloured her using copic markers.
Skin: E13, 21, 11, 00, 000, R30
Hair: E50, 51, 53, 57
Cardinal: E39, 37, 35, 32
Dress: RV000, 91, 93, 95, 69

I made the poinsettias from foamiran and my new Lily dies.  The little cherry blossom type flowers are made using my Peony dies.

I love how the poinsettias turned out.  They were made from white foamiran and coloured with oil pastels.

The papers are from one of my many boxes of odd sheets of paper.

Traditional Christmas

I've used the same paper pad as the card I made last week, but this one is a very different look just by using the richer ruby toned papers from the Lemoncraft Christmas Carols paper pad.

I made a poinsettia using the lily dies I designed for Whimsy Stamps and 0.6mm foamiran which I coloured with Gallery Artists Soft Oil Pastels, and used pearl stamens and a berry for the centre.  I added Lacy Christmas Stars which I painted with gold paint, red polystyrene balls, white polystyrene ballswhite pomegranate apples, twine and some little cones that I picked up on my walks.

I finished off with a die cut sentiment - I adhered 3 layers together then gave it a coat of gold paint to tie in with the stars and cones.

I hope this posts okay, I'm spending the weekend in Nottingham making Foamiran flowers - bliss!

Wedding Day and Halloween

Another two cards from me today - shoo after all this I'll need a dark room, I've exhausted me little old sel'!

The links to the Whimsy Stamps products will be at the end of the post.

First up is a wedding card, and I think it's the first time I've ever made a white on white card!  Go me lol.  I used the Lily Flower die set from Whimsy Stamps (again), and just added a hint of green with oil pastels in the centre and a mid green copic marker.

I love this lily die set, even if I do say so myself 😛

Next up is another new type of card - see, I don't do halloween, don't celebrate it and I'm one of those radgie gadgies that takes the battery out the doorbell on the 31st October so I don't have to deal with kids.  Boo 😱

So anyhoo, back to the card, I created a shaker card for something different.  It was really quick and easy to do with the stamp and matching dies.  I found some old Basic Gray paper in orange that worked well with the black - and that was a voyage of discovery I can tell you!

Lilies and Roses

I'm so in love with this month's Whimsy Stamps release especially as there are two sets of flower dies perfect for Foamiran!  Links to the dies are at the end of the post.

I made the rose plus buds using the new Rose Petal Die Set, the Lilies (both small and large) using the new Lily Flower Die Set and the tiny cherry blossoms using the Peony Flower Die Set.  The green leaves are also from the Peony set.

I used a black permanent marker to add the dots to the lilies

Sorry about all the photos but I couldn't help myself I was so so thrilled with how the flowers turned out.

And another 😛

Shoo, those all took some editing 😂

New Lily Die Set - Whimsy Stamps August Release

It's release time at Whimsy Stamps and the new August dies, rubber and clear goodies are out.  You can see the entire release here.

I'm featuring the new Lily Flower Die Set on both cards and have used them two ways, one as a traditional lily flower and the other I've created a poinsettia using the same die set.

First up the lily card - I made the flower using white silk foamiran for the flower and olive green foamiran for the leaves.   I also used the smallest die from my Peony Flower Die Set to make the little white cherry blossoms. I used one of my Vintage Sentiments, the font worked so well for the look I was aiming for with this one.

Just a heads up for the UK girls, Noor Design has the new release in stock here

A closer look at the flowers which I coloured with oil pastels and then used a copic marker to create the dots on the petals.

The paper is The Promise pad by First Edition.

Next up is a Christmas card, again using the lily dies

I love that the die set can be used for more than it was intended for, I do like to get my money's worth lol.

I used white foamiran again and used all three layers (each cut twice) to make up the large poinsettia  and the smaller two layers for the small poinsettia.  I also used the peony flower set to make the gold blossoms.  The leaves I did by painting a sheet of white card with gold paint then die cut using the fab-u-lassss Holly Vine Die.  I love how that turned out!  The sentiment is the Christmas Large Word Die

I finished up the arrangement with some white berries and some wee cones that I painted gold.

I'll be back tomorrow with another card featuring the lily die set and also the gorgeous new rose petal die set

I've linked to the products in the post but to make it easier to find them here they are again

Foamiran Poinsettia Christmas

Another Christmas card, and this time I’ve made a Foamiran poinsettia using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die.  It was really easy to make so if you want a quick video of how I did it leave a comment and I’ll get one done if there’s enough interest.

I used the gorgeous Lemoncraft Christmas Carols paper pad again, I LOVE this pad.  I used 0.6mm white Foamiran and heated each petal then pressed on to a Mould 104.  It sounds faffy but it was really quick to do.  Once I’d embossed them all I twised the ends and shaped the petals slightly.  I adhered 2 of each layer together then popped a berry sprig in the centre together with a gold metal finding which I’ve had in my stash for years.  I used some white flowers made using the Craft Passion Flowers set –06 and Craft Passion Flowers Set 03 dies.

I finished off the spray with some TH die cut leaves, gold berries, Scrapiniec Holly Branches laser cut chipboard, Wycinanka - Lacy Christmas - Stars - set of 3 (both painted with gold paint) and some gold twine.

I love how the poinsettia turned out.  I added white glitter from The Range to give an icy look and added some mini polystyrene balls (also from The Range)

Those little white flowers fitted the bill perfectly Smile

I love making Christmas cards, even though I’m not a fan of Christmas – it’s gotten way too commercial for me.
