Mini Album

Part of my DT kit from Noor! Design was this mini album.  Not having attempted anything like this before, my instant reaction was what on earth was I going to do with it.  I pondered, and decided to try doing a baby album for my friend who waited so darn long for her first grandbaby.  Hope you like it Karen.

The front, which I left plain as there was so many ribbons going on.  Why so many ribbons you ask??  Well B.O.B. (Brains of Britain) Bev here overloaded on the embellies on the inner pages so once it was done the rings that are supplied with the album weren't going to be big enough.  I ordered larger rings and even they didn't fit.  So note to self - CHECK that it all fits before glueing stuff down Bev!!

The first of the inside pages, left side just holds a little tag for Karen to write one of her awesome poems on for Hayden.

I just love this new viewfinder die from Noor.  I backed it with the patterned paper then added some alphabet stickers and finished off with a little bear button from my stash.

The trellis border was the left overs from the fleur-de-lys shapes on the front and back of the album.

I LOVE how the stencilled word Adore turned out.  It was a bit of a pain to do because I did it one letter at a time, allowing each letter to dry before doing the next one, but I think it was worth the effort :).  The wire baby word is out of my mountain of baby stash (you would not believe how much baby stuff I have - a whole cupboard is dedicated to those puppies lol)

And the back, I used the circle and teddy to conceal where I adhered the ribbon to tie the album closed.

I really really loved playing with this, it took me quite a while to do and I loved every second of it.

Products used:

Mixed vintage colour Hydrangea Blooms (25mm) MKX-678
Mixed colour rhinestone flowers MKX-679
Self adheesive rhinestones (clear) MKX-321

  6. A fabulous album Bev! I can't believe this is your first attempt at one as it looks so good. I think the ribbons were a happy accident as they look more special than just rings. What a great use for the viewfinder die, I wouldn't have thought of doing that with it . Your friend will be absolutely thrilled with this and isn't her grandchild gorgeous! Debra x
