10 minute cards

I woke up yesterday morning and realised that I did not have anywhere near enough Christmas cards made (I live under that rock remember, it’s called Bev’s Denial hahaha).  So, after doing a quick whip round the house with duster and hoover I was on a mission to get a heap of cards done.  I managed 20 in just over 3 hours, making two different styles using only the one paper pad with minimum stamping.  Quite pleased with myself, seeing as the mojo has gone in a huff again because I have been paying way too much attention to my Kindle. (edited to add – card blanks were already pre-cut and scored and the flowers were already pulled apart so all I had to do was cut the card and papers, then the die cutting then spray and assemble the flowers.  It was all done like a factory assembly line.  The things we have to do hey?  Not my ideal way of making cards, I hate duplicating cards but needs must).

The paper pad is Basic Grey Aspen Frost, the stamps I used are Whimsy Stamps – I just used sentiments from the Tis the Season Nobables 5.  The poinsettia is from Wild Orchid Crafts, I pulled it apart, spritzed it with a watered down mix of Aged Mahogany Distress Stain and put it back together with a spacer and pearl brad.  A couple of die cut corners, a bit of ribbon and job done.  They are just A6 cards but great for a girl on a mission lol.  I will post a pic of the second style (with a bit of stamping and colouring) tomorrow.

  17. Isn't it amazing what we are capable of under pressure, LOL? Sometimes I think I'm spending way too much time thinking about creating THE perfect card. But sometimes time is simply running out. Guess what I will be doing for the rest of today?
Will be checking back tomorrow for your second quick card.

  18. So pretty! I'm in the same boat (not enough time and many friends, lol!), so I've been rushing the count myself. I HATE duplicating cards as well, and have been making two of the same at a time. I can't handle more than two!!! Luckily I found quite a few CAS cards online and have been shamelessly copying. I just don't have the time to be "creative" right now.
