I’m back with a very quick post, it’s a card I did earlier this year for Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine as I don’t have anything new made up ready to blog.
I’m not feeling too grand again, went and saw the GP for my TSH results after the test a couple of weeks ago and no wonder I am feeling worse, the readings have gone up even higher despite being on increased thyroxine. I am so fed up with this carry on, it’s really getting me down. Right now that I’ve had me moan for the day it’s back to my card.
The stamp is Michel by Stampavie, I really do love their little boy images – Sarah Kay sure knows how to capture the gentle innocence of youth like no-one else can. The sentiment is by Tina Wenke from the Celebrate stamp set.
I used Copics and pencils to colour the image. Oh and the paper is Bo Bunny Persuasion

ReplyDeleteOh Bev I am so sorry to read you are not feeling well still and I really hope they sort you out soon. A close friend of mine recently had the same battle and was off work for a year so I understand your frustration at feeling so rough, there were some days when Tracy couldn't even muster the strength to get out of bed.

Hi Bev, lovely card today, such a sweet image. So sorry to learn that your feeling poorly, I understand the fed up bit as I have diabetes and inject 4 times daily, and there are days I feel like throwing all my meds in the bin I get so P....d off with it all. Really hope you begin to feel better soon, take care, kate x
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear, you´re not the best again now. Can´t they treat that thyroid problem once and for all, so you´ll get to feel much better? I had it done a few years ago and it just turned everything on a plate right away and I haven´t had anymore troubles ever since about that. It took a while with lots of tests and stuff at first, but when they first had made alll that and could say the exact amount of treatment, they just went on and after it was done, everything also changed to the better and it was only this one time, and it was all good then. I really wish for you, that you can be just as lucky as I was, cause I know how frustrating it is, when it´s going on, and I also know, how many doctors don´t seems to care much about this kind of illness either, as it´s not fancy like other things LOL.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you still feel poorly. It can take quite a bit of messing to get thyroxine levels right I believe - thyroid problems run in our family although so far I have escaped, I guess it will catch up sooner or later. Hope they get you sorted soon.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you’re still not feeling great. I sympathise with you because I have a thyroid problem too and know just how tricky it can be to get the levels right. Mine was great for ages and then I lost 2st in weigh and it altered everything. It’s taken month to get it right again but it’s ok now and I’m feeling much better so hang on in there.

Hi. I always visit your blog but I don't usually comment because I know you get so many, you probably won't even see this. I just had to comment because I've never seen anyone else mention TSH levels, etc. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2006 and had an operation to remove my thyroid and so I have to take 225mg thyroxine every day - I take a high dose to suppress the cancer cells. Anyway, just wanted to say, I hope you're OK and if you ever want to talk to anyone else with thyroid problems, you know where I am. Hugs, Marie xx
