I got my magazine commission all done and dusted so had some me time yesterday, I dug out the Distress Markers and had a play with one of the new Elisabeth Bell stamps. It takes me twice as long to colour with Inks as opposed to colouring with Copics. Thank goodness the watercolour paper I use stands up to a LOT of water, ink, blending and layers – I was expecting to wear a hole through it lol.
This is Li'l Tag-a-longs - Li'l Sweet Tweeter by Elisabeth Bell. I LOVE this newest release, there is not so much intricate detail with nice open areas so perfect for watercolouring. Picture links to products used are at the end of the post.
Colours used are:
Birdcage – frayed burlap
Stool – vintage photo
Jeans – pumice stone
Hat – pumice stone, bundled sage, and a mix of worn lipstick, spun sugar and dried marigold
Top - a mix of worn lipstick, spun sugar and dried marigold
Shading around image – tumbled glass
Shading under feet – weathered wood
The circular die is a new Noor Design die set.
