Something different

I have something a little different today.  I was sent a DT kit from Marianne Designs which pushed me right out of my comfort zone but after the day I had yesterday it was good to be able to switch off.

The Dress Form stamp and perfume label stamp are from the CS0857 stamp set – from their new release I think.  The paper is also from Marianne Design – Birds and Flowers stack and the ticket die is CR1212 also by Marianne Design.  The sentiment stamp is from Lili of the Valley’s Vintage Sentiments – Occasions.

The flowers (small gardenia, 20mm roses, 15mm roses, 4mm rose buds), seam binding (which I gathered by pulling the centre strands) and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

As I said before, yesterday was not a good day.  I got home from work and had to dash out to the post office to collect a parcel.  When I got home Tony was waiting at the door for me …. I KNEW there was something wrong and said Roxy!  She’s my old lady and has gotten rather doddery lately.  To my absolute shock and horror he said Sidney!!  My little man was in the garden and Tony had gone to call hiim in.  He was lying in the garden bed and as Tony bent to stroke him Sidney drew his last breath and died.  My little man was only 7 and was a little blessing.  The vet thinks it was heart failure.  We rescued him 15 months ago and like to think that we made up for the neglect he suffered before then.  He sure waltzed into this house, took over his little harem and left paw prints on all our hearts.
