Lili’s Little Fairies challenge this week is “in the garden” and when I was mooching through my stamps I could not believe this little cutie from Lili of the Valley had not been inked up yet, I am ashamed of myself! Fancy neglecting her!
I am slowly falling in love with distress inks again, mainly due to the Distress Markers that were sat on my desk winking at me for months lol. So out they came, together with the re-inkers for this card. What I love about them is I can pick up the tub of markers and the palette of inks, a paintbrush and my stamped image and take them to work with me (I sit and colour during my lunch break) - although Copics and pencils will always be my preferred colouring medium the inks are a lot easier to carry around.
The links to the products used are at the end of the post.
The colours used are:
Skin: Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo, Aged Mahogany (Re-inkers)
Hair: Antique linen with just a SMALL amount of walnut stain around the edges (Markers)
Blues Tumbled Glass then I used the Weathered Wood marker to add the darker shadows.
Skirt: Milled Lavender (re-inker) then Dusty Concord marker to darken and add shadows
Leaves: peeled paint and forest moss
Grass: Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain, Scattered Straw, Forest Moss
The papers are very old Karen Neuberg – they are my very very favourite papers and I was sweating buckets when I cut into it last night lol.
And the angle shot. These are not colours I would normally use but the combo is kind of growing on me
Tomorrow sees the first sneaky peek of the new Lili of the Valley release, it’s the mini blog hop day so some of the DT will be showcasing one of the new stamps, and there will be prizes along the way ….. Wild Orchid Crafts are on board for this one
