I coloured this image at work during my lunch breaks last week. Boy! Colouring with Distress Inks and Markers sure takes me FOREVER! I started this on Tuesday, coloured for an hour, carried on during Wednesdays lunch break, and Thursdays …… and eventually finished it on Friday. Sheesh talk about slow! I blame it on that itty bitty paintbrush lol. Going to go back to the larger one, I can colour in half the time.
So here’s Happy Mail. Loved this image so much when it came out by Sugar Nellie and never got round to buying it so was thrilled when it was re-released by Belles ‘n Whistles.
I have no idea who the papers are by – they are in a mountain of 12 x 12 papers that I really must either get rid of or use up. I feel another paper give away looming
The inks I used are:
Skin: Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo, Aged Mahogany
Hair: Antique Linen, Scattered Straw (then didn’t like the colour so added Walnut Stain!)
Reds: a Mix of Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany with black for the shadows
Jeans: Pumice Stone and black for shadows
Mail box: Weathered Wood, Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and black for shadows
Flowers: Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany, Dusty Concord, Scattered Straw, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, Dried Marigold, black for shadows
Grass: Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Scattered Straw, Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint (again), black
The inside, more or less followed the layout on the front.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend
