Monday already, ack ack ack!! But I got my Christmas trees and decs up on the weekend even though no crafting got done. I splashed out and got a new tree as the other we had was a monster and was too heavy and big for Tony and I to try and get in and out of the loft (him with his gammy hips and knees and me with my back – a right pair of old crocks lol). The jury is out, it’s a slim tree so I could not even get 1/4 of my baubles on but at least we can manage it. I will try and get some pics of it when I get in from work tonight.
So on to today’s card which is not only for Wild Orchid Challenge but also for a special fundraiser that Claudia is running. You can read about it on her blog. She approached me to make a card for auctioning on eBay later this week, there are quite a few crafters that are doing their bit to help this family.
I coloured James in the Snow from Lili of the Valley with Prismacolor pencils only on craft colour paper. The paper is quite textured and it gave a fab finish to his fur.
The papers are from Nitwit Collections newest kit – Holiday Charm Collection, I also printed off the sentiment from the kit as it was perfect for sweet little James. Thank you Mary Fran and Jeff from Nitwits for giving permission for the papers to be used for this great cause.
And of course my embellishments are all from Wild Orchid Crafts … where else lol. I die cut a Sizzix snowflake from chipboard, painted it white and slathered it in Twinklets from Crafts U Love. The edges of the blue roses have been dabbed with blue pearl paint after spritzing with a blue mist. The roses are 30mm wild rose, 25mm hybrid tea rose, 15mm roses, 10mm roses. The gorgeous lace is also from WOC. The snowflake spray is a Memory Box die from Dies to Die For.
That’s it from me today, hope you all have a great week and stay warm (it’s freezing here!!)
