It’s Lili of the Valley Challenge day today and it’s bittersweet as this is the last Lili of the Valley Challenge, but we are thrilled that Jacqui is going to continue running it as “Lili’s Little Fairies” from January!! There are some new faces on the DT to mix in with the old so lots of exciting things happening soon! The blog address will stay the same to avoid confusion, and we will still be a solely Lili of the Valley images challenge, we have to let these little cuties have their own stage in Blogland now don’t we?!
So this week the challenge is perfect for Lili’s Little Fairies old and new, it’s a gorgeous colour combo of Pink, White and Silver … love it! I think this is one of the fastest cards I have made, it practically made itself – don’t you just love it when that happens?
I have used LOTV’s Christmas Angels – Praying for my card, and those same Maja Design Crea Diem papers from Dies to Die For that were sat on my desk still (well they were the perfect pink lol). I have used a Spellbinders die for the snowflake from the Ironworks Motifs set, and a Martha Stewart punch for the icicles border. I painted the white lace with white acrylic paint to make it look more substantial as it was looking a bit lost against the pale silver-grey paper.
I coloured the image with a mix of Flexmarkers and Promarkers, as well as a fair bit of black and mulberry pencils.
Hope this gorgeous colour combo will inspire you to join us this week.
