Here’s a couple of pictures of my Christmas decs, still not sure on the tree but I am veering to not liking it (shhh don’t tell Tony – he will flip!)
I could not get a decent picture of the tree with all the lights on, so knocked off all but one set and this is as good as it gets. All the ornaments on there are my special ones, either given to me by a special friend over the years, or my family or ones I have made myself (more on those later in the week!) I must straighten that angel, she looks like she’s been at the Vodka rofl.
Even the Santa’s were from a special friend, oooh she does spoil me mwah x
And just like my cards I do not do minimalistic at all lol. To me Christmas is RED and lots of it And for the first time in many years I actually have my decorations up before the 24th December!
Oooh your deccies are gorgeous Bev! (don't tell my DH, but I don't particularly like our tree either and I was the one yapped to get it LOL!)
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are beautiful Bev.
ReplyDeleteI've done all the ones at work but haven't even thought about un-packing the ones at home, let alone putting them up LOL
Toni xx
Cor your brave ! Don't the dogs try to play with them ? or have they all outgrown the naughty play with it all regardless ?
ReplyDeleteI love your tree !! Ive been looking for a tall skinny tree for almost 10yrs now !
Ours not going up till 24th and then maby no tree, 7 month old grandson who is crawling + 2 brand new kittens.. The thought of a 7ft tree and hundreds of tree decs in the middle of that make me shudder lolol.
Aj.
Your tree and decorations look lovely Bev. Put mine up on Sunday. Just praying the cats don't decide to climb the tree lol

Beautiful and very homely and warm. Your tree is like mine. I have decorations from when I was a child, ones my Mum got as a wedding present, some from old and long departed friends. A tree full of memories is the best kind of tree Bev. Enjoy your tree.
ReplyDeleteWow! I still have to get started, but don't know when. To decorate the tree and built up my little X-mas village cost me about a week (in the evenings) as during day I have to work. Keep my fingers crossed I will manage in time. Regards.
ReplyDeletehow did you manage to squeeze so many decorations onto one tree! I put ours up yesterday, one in the lounge -multi coloured with stuff we've collected over 40 years of marriage, one in the hall, gold, and one in the conservatory, red, but Haggis still doesn't like our santas, snowmen and suchlike if they are sitting on the fireside etc so they have been put on the pile to go back in the loft. Hope he doesn't bite through the electric cable for the tree lights like he did his first Christmas - he lit up like a tree himself poor little chap! Mary G x
ReplyDeleteWOW what fabulous trimmings Bev! Soooo Christmassy! :D

ReplyDeleteHi Bev,
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so lovely and festive. I love you're new tree. Personally I really like the slim line trees. They can be dressed just as beautiful as the bulky trees and they take up so much less space.
Hugs,
Linda
Oh Bev, Loving it! You sure do know how to do Christmas! That tree looks like you have many friends and family that really care about you:0)

ReplyDeleteI haven´t done one thing yet this year, and I really think, this is the first time ever, that i don´t have everything ready on the 1st December, but all has been about moving my craftroom out this year, so I haven´t had a minute, and now I almost don´t have more energy left for it at all LOL.
Oh Bev, I think the way you people dress up your homes for Christmas is just too beautiful. Perfect weather for it. TFS, hugs Sharon x

Fab decorations Bev but there is one simple solution to all of this. Do as we do and have 2 trees ;0)

Your pictures are beautiful. I love lots of ornaments too. The more the better. Love how you decorated your fireplace. I have a skinny tree that I have in my daughters room and at the entry way makes it easier to move around but love our real, fat tree in the main room :) so I feel for you. Also more room for ornaments....never enough
ReplyDeleteOh WOW! Your decorations are just beautiful. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. By the way, I love the new header for your webpage. Good job!

ReplyDeletex
Beautiful
ReplyDeleteBev, What a delightful home! I have never seen a tree decorated with so many different items and colors and materials.
ReplyDeleteI have only had about 7 Christmas trees in my life...they have all had only white lights (small), and my 18 clear blown glass heart ornaments hung on my medium height tree.
I haven't had one in years, my back injuries do not allow me to decorate without great pain...and there is no family here that would like to come. Seeing your home, makes me very happy and it makes my heart ache! Beautiful.
