Don’t fall off of ya seats now, I actually got a card done for Just Magnolia challenge! And this week we are being sponsored by those lovely peeps at Wild Orchid Crafts so get your ribbon out and get crafting

The colours in the picture are still not 100% right but a lot better since I got proper photographic light bulbs. They are much brighter and whiter than daylight bulbs and have taken that awful yellow tinge away that daylight bulbs give.
I can’t remember when last I made a Magnolia card (I have so fallen out of love with them and have not bought a new Magnolia stamp for months and months, not even the new Christmas stamps tempted me … well okay I did like a couple but not enough to pay nearly £10 for an unmounted stamp). So it’s an oldie from me today, I think this stamp was from Christmas 2 years ago, or was it last year?
I have used delish flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. And then I dunked the twirly bits from the waste stems into glossy accents and then into green German Glass Glitter and LOVE the effect. I saw this idea whilst blog hopping last week on Mandy's blog (thanks for pointing me in the right direction ladies :) ) it's such a brilliant idea.
The silk ribbon is also from WOC, this ribbon is sublime and I love the bows it makes. And as the challenge on JM is ribbons I used a second narrow gingham ribbon as well.
The broderie look frame is one of the new Marianne Design Craftables dies that should be on the Dies to Die For website soon. The detail on the die cut is gorgeous. The sentiment is from Tina Wenke’s Holiday Wishes set. And the papers are from Nitwit Collections – Mr and Mrs collection, loving the pink!
Tilda has been coloured with Copics. I added Glamour Dust to her muff and wings and Polar White Flowersoft to the fur on her hat and cuffs. And as always I have finished off the card by decorating the inside to compliment the front.
That’s it from me today, I will be back much later tonight with this weekend’s Simon Says Stamp Saturday Surprise and keep an eye out for some scrummy candy next week, just waiting for the goodies to arrive

Have a good one!
hugs
Stunning card so beautiful x
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous Bev, you´ve done an amazing job here, and the result is stunning, even it´s an old stamp, but they just never goes out of style I think, so it doesn´t matter.
ReplyDeleteI just love how it´s all put together with the gorgeous roses and ribbons which I also just love so much, so this is just perfect in my eyes.
Have a great week-end hun.

ReplyDeleteIt's adorable, Bev! It doesn't matter if it's old or not, Magnolias are still beautiful:) I agree, the price is quite high; I've only ordered a few from the Christmas collection; in my country people are not familiar with these mouthless kiddos and are somehow reluctant. But I still love them. Hope you will not give up on them:(
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend honey!

Fab card Bev, as always! I've been chuckling here - finishing off a birthday card and I only had a little length of the right colour silk ribbon. Heart in mouth I went for it anyway - and as ever, a perfect bow, you're so right - that ribbon is terrific and very forgiving (err, well perfect by MY standards at least - lol!). Di xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always. You never dissapoint!Your work is truly inspiring. I so agree with you about the Magnolia stamps. They are very cute but I think they pricing on all their stamps & dies are out of line. I think I have 2 of their stamps and only because I got them on sale.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Maryann, these stamps never go out of fashion so keep on using them Bev please. This is so lovely and so gentle. I love it. What a lovely way to use the flower stems. Lena at WOC did the same yest on one of her samples, I'm most impressed. Very creative indeed. Have a good weekend all. Regards Linda

ReplyDeleteGosh what an amazing card,I love Magnolia stamps,fun to color.Have a good week-end Bev....Pierrette
ReplyDeleteBev, this is beautiful! I just love the circle as the focal area...the flowers look so incredibly beautiful around the edge of it! And, I loved how you colored this angel...the Flower Soft looks just like fur! I did like the twirly stems in the German Glass. That is beautiful magic in a jar, isn't it? Whatever it touches looks incredible!
ReplyDeleteJust so you know, I would be happy to take up some inkys Tildas or Edwins off your hand, and babysit them for a while...since you are not paying much attention to them. If you sent one she would have a pool but no friends yet! I live in a smoke-free house, and they would just love their room...all purple and pink! lol
Seriously, Bev, you colored her so beautifully, she looks like a good friend.

ReplyDeleteI tried to leave this on the side bar where people can leave you questions...but it froze up, so I don't think it will show up there:
Your 6 Cavaliers-- Are they members of the American Basketball Team? (I think it's basketball.) If not, what?
