I nearly didn’t get this card finished last night, I was out walking the dogs with my friend last night and Roxy had her silly hat on and kept on tripping me up – well I went a good’un last night and did my back in good and proper (and it was just starting to ease up with the acupuncture). So back on the morphine patches and painkiller cocktail again. Why I get dogs that can’t walk in a straight line is beyond me :( Poor old lady got her nose skinned (it was either that or I stand on her and break her back and trying to avoid that did my old back a canny bit damage again).
Enough whining! Pull yourself together girl! My card today is for the Lili of the Valley challenge which is Roses – my all time favourite challenge I have decided (I wonder why!!!). So I broke down and cut (hyperventilating here) into my precious store of the girls paperie papers for the card. OMG I just adore these papers so much and they are no more :( although Tracy at Dies to Die For does have some in stock (and I just stocked up on mine hee hee)
I have coloured Emma Swing with copics and the barest touch of mulberry prismacolor pencil on the pink. I pleated the lace just by sticking it down with red-line tape instead of stitching. Much quicker and easier to do. I heat embossed the corner metal embellishment and added some pearls to finish it off. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the seam binding and other embellies. Oh and the gorgeous scalloped border is a Memory Box die.
I have set up an Etsy shop and will list this card there tonight once I have taken better pics in the daylight as I took these last night with the light tent (hate that dratted thing lol).
Now for some real heart-melting pictures. My friends cavvie has had a litter of puppies – OMG they are just the sweetest little babies ever, and she kindly gave me permission to share the pics here! Talk about chocolate box puppies, these are they! ME WANT!!!!! I’ll have either Lydia, Lucy or Luca, I ain’t fussy lol.
Check out that Nylabone – it’s nearly as big as the puppy lol
I am soooo in love lol
Puppy heaven xxx
And that’s it from me today, I am having another acupuncture session this afternoon, hope it helps with the pain.
