As promised I’m back with a card using one of the images from the Let it Shine digi bundles that I am giving away as candy from Charmed Cards and Crafts.
And …. don’t fall over …. I had a good old play with my ProMarkers yesterday, well it would have been rude not to seeing as I got some of the FlexMarkers. And I am really impressed! Now we have the most gorgeous super pale colours to compliment and work with our existing ProMarkers. The FlexMarkers were on Create and Craft last week and I believe will not go on general sale till September so I was so glad to get some of them. The blending on the image is not as good as I would like but that’s becauseI tried a new paper and me no likey :(, I don’t make life simple for myself!! So now I will be sticking with what I know works for me. I didn’t have time to recolour it on my usual paper.
The ProMarkers (PM) and FlexMarkers (FM) used are:
Skin: Apricot, Oatmeal, Blush (PM’s) and Light Fawn (FM) and Rose Pink (PM)for the cheeks
Hair: Burnt Umber, Cinnamon (PM’s), Light Fawn (FM) and I also added some dark umber pencil to the hair for a bit more depth of colour
Pinks: Maroon, Hot Pink, Rose Pink (PM’s) Pale Blossom (FM)
Greys: Black, Ice Grey 5, 4, 3 (PM’s)
Book and Shadow: Caramel, Putty (PM’s), Antique White (FM)
Earrings: Honeycomb, gold, lemon (PM’s)
The sentiment is also from the bundle. I printed it off in black then tried it in the negative but stuck with the black, love the contrast against the pink. The delish paper is Basic Grey Out of Print (love this pad!) The flowers are Doo Hickey lace doily flowers and topped them off with some Sweetheart blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts. Also from WOC is that gorgeous bronze clock charm, I don’t have any bronze chain so just attached it to the tulle with a bit of Divine Twine.
Back to work today after a fun day with my grandson. We made a full English breakfast (that kid loves his food), played Club Penguin, painted and decorated a door hanger for his bedroom, made paper planes, then went and visited my friends little puppies. Then I needed a lie down in a darkened room lol, he is no bother but I have forgotten just what hard work a 6 year old can be!
hugs

This is a great card for anyone of the female persuasion, Bev and I love the way you've attached the clock charm to the tulle with the divine twine. It's better than chain would have been, I think.

Fabulous card Bev! Love the pink! I have been using the promarkers for a year now and just tried the Fleximarker.
ReplyDeleteNot impressed at all as no color was coming out of the nib, really not what you expect for the price you pay, then the caps kept falling off and then I heard that its not the first time that the company that makes these have had quality problems. Have you had any problems? Pam xx
