And something different too! These are two cards I did for a magazine commission, I had to make triple embossed buttons and use them on 5 different cards. The papers are K & Co Flora and Fauna on both cards (love this pad).
The first card I used a Go Kreate XXL frame die for the scalloped top part then just a simple MFT sentiment together with a bit of lace that I gathered to make into a flower. Not my usual style but I started off making cards like this before I discovered stamping and colouring and I really enjoyed the blast from the past lol. That XXL die was just perfect for the card and worked so well with the scalloped lace and gorgeous paper I think.
The button was done by embossing a button made from chipboard then whilst the embossing powder was still hot and wet I dunked it into brown glitter then heated it again then dunked it into embossing powder a few times till there was a good smooth coverage to the button.
My next card was another quick and easy one, I used one of the Lili of the Valley Die cuts, but I fiddled (what’s new lol) and added more shading to the image with my copics and pencils. Love how it added vibrancy to the image and made it my own.
The border die is from Spellbinders, the butterflies are a Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch and the pearls, seam binding and lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I made the button the same way as before. Love how the glitter glistens through the embossing powder.
That’s it from me today, I am busy with magazine commissions again so not much time to get new stuff made for me blog but I will be back tomorrow with a hAnglar card for Just Magnolia.

Hiya Bev,

OH My gosh this must have been so difficult for you to do!
I would have had to add my own touches to the LOTV square too hee hee.
That is what card making is about, making it our own!
Love the embossed buttons on both cards.I did get a shock and wondered if I had got the wrong blog hee hee
Fantastic job BEV and you fufilled what was asked of you.
Sometimes, we can forget that other people are starting off and need help with products and techniques.
In fact we all need help to remember to use the techniques that we have learned eh?
Thank you Bev for reminding me of a technique that I have not used for so long.
Love these card, the inspiration and thought provoking elements have inspired me to rethink and revisit some old techniques!
Take care
