I’ve another sneak peek today, this little poppet is called Christmas Bears – Sledge and is from the second Christmas release from Lili of the Valley. I just love the detail in these stamps, those little robins are too cute!
Jacqui and I have been beavering away behind the scenes for a while now colouring in all the images for advertising and the colour scheme this time is icy colours so these Bo Bunny Winter Joy papers fitted in with the pre-coloured image perfectly. I always make the card first then colour my image so everything matches (yes I am positively anal about colours matching lol) so find it difficult to work the other way round. So for this batch of colouring I actually picked the papers I was going to use for each image as I coloured them so when it came to making up the card it was all planned out. It’s saved a lot of time doing it this way – note to self, remember to do this every time Bev.
I added Liquid Applique to the trees for snow and whilst still wet I poured some glitter over then blasted with a heat gun so the glitter set in to the puffy stuff as it swelled and dried.
The icicle border was punched with a Martha Stewart punch then slathered in Stickles and glamour dust for added bling.
And a close up of the flowers that were featured on yesterday’s Quick Flicks on the Ideas to Inspire blog. I love how the Twinklets (from Crafts U Love) totally transform a simple mulberry poinsettia flower especially when those gorgeous moonstone brads are added into the mix.
Back to work today {sulk}, would much rather be at home playing lol. Have a great week.
hugs

Sunning card Bev just beautiful hugs maxine x
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd have purposely picked those winter colors, but they look beautiful. I also try to pick out my paper first, then color the picture. Learned that from my favorite instructor. Like the snow effect, but I don't seem to do it right and have problems with it. Must be you've found the right way to do it. Edna
