I had to make up a Criss Cross card as a sample for a class I am taking at Papercuts in Whitley Bay on Saturday so decided to make two so I would have one for today’s challenge at Wild Orchid Challenge. I think there are a couple of spaces left so if you’re interested just drop them an email for the info.
Back to today’s card – the challenge is Beary Special so as soon as I saw this adorable new stamp from Stampavie called Tobi’s Christmas Cuddle, well the card was done. I love making Criss Cross cards yet always seem to stick with the 6 x 6 square cards, I must try and be a bit more adventurous I think.
The paper is from the new Papermania Apple and Cranberry pack. Loving all the gingham! The lace die is a Doo Hickey die, old Swedish lace. The trellis rose, 15mm roses and gold berries are from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the satin ribbon. The wreath charm started life out as silver till I gave it a good dunking in Versamark ink then into gold detail embossing powder. Now I can have gold charms as well as silver lol. Small things amuse small minds!!
For the inside all I did was stamp out the image again in Walnut Stain distress ink and added a bit of stickles to the hat. That gorgeous sentiment is one of the new Stampavie sentiments, the set I used is called Merry Christmas.
A close up of the super sweet image, just love that pig-tail lol.
Well, I won a whopping £5 odd on the lottery on Friday so I am back to work today after a fortnight off (actually I will be glad to get away from the dust and mess!!) Hope you all have a fab week.
hugs
