Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge

Thanks for all the lovely comments and emails of support, I will get round to replying to the emails this weekend – you are all the best xxx  The appointment was okay, not as bad as I thought but that’s because the further tests and scans I was supposed to have had BEFORE the appointment got lost in the system and the appointments were never made.  So I wasted a professor’s time today as he could not do much except send me for said scans and tests.  So now I am in the wait for the results process again and will be called back once they are in.  I am totally fed up and feel so let down by the system.  I have always spoken so highly of the NHS  but right now I am not too impressed :o(

Right that’s my moan over, on to today’s card for our Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challengeJane has done the most brilliant sketch for us to use, one I will use over and over.  I had a hunt through all the digi kits that I have and never even unzipped let alone used and discovered this paper.  OMW I love it!  I will hunt the link out and post it here later on.  I used the papers for the doily die cut as well, totally gorge.

Tilda with Spring Bundler (which is another stamp that has never been taken out of the packet!!!) was coloured with Copics and just the very lightest touch of pencils.  The Copics used are my “go-to” colours, the ones I tend to use the most.

Skin: E21, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R30
Hair: E29, E25, E50 and black pencil
Greens: YG63, YG61, G20 and black pencil
Pinks: R83, R81, RV000, RV0000 and mulberry pencil
Boots: E44, E42, E40
Shadow (ground) W3, W1, W0 (around image) BG000, E0000, BG0000, BG70

The flowers, lace and organza ribbon are all from Wild Orchid Crafts (is there anywhere else lol) as is the corner metal embellishment.   Flowers used are trellis rose, 25mm wild rose, sweetheart blossoms, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, 6mm rose buds and 4mm rose buds.  The divine twine and button are also from WOC.  The sentiments are from Lili of the Valley punched out with a Stampin Up word window punch and inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink as all the papers have been.

I’ve popped this card in my eBay shop

Take care and have a good weekend. Donna

  22. Aww I love this card Bev! The image is adorable and beautifully coloured. Gorgeous flowers and embellishments - Truly Scrumptious Card!

Sorry to hear about your appointment! I can empathise with you. I had an MRI Spine Scan done few years ago on NHS and they lost it !!!! Also no report was sent to my GP so it was as if it never happened?? In the end I used my savings and had one done privately (couldn't afford it now though !!!). At least done privately, I got a copy of the full report of scan!!

    Take Care
    Hugs Sue xx

  23. Oh no it makes me so angry when these sort of mess up's have within the NHS, so many people are waiting for appointments yet they can't get the ones they give out right grr. This has happened to me a couple of times now so not a new thing, it is all about communication or their lack of it! Anyhow enough said lol
Wonderful card, really cute and those papers really are stunning.
    Kim xXx

  33. Sorry to hear you've had a bit of a run around with NHS, Bev- howver, I'm not too surprised 'cos I've had the same thing happen to me on several occasions- and the xrays have never apparently come to light.
Anyway, hope everything progresses more favourably from now on.

Your card is so lovely today and I just love that paper- I love the bold shadow check underlaying the roses- totally gorgeous.

  37. Hiya Bev, love the card as always and I'm so with you with the disappoint in the NHS. I was diagnosed over 6 weeks ago with Type 2 Diabetes and am still waiting for my medication, I have a liver condition (PBC) which makes prescribing medication more difficult, but knowing that it still took 4 weeks to refer me to a Diabetologist and then I have to wait for him to write to mu GP to the the medication. It's like I'm being punished for some reason. Sorry, my moan is over now too. Hope you get your problems sorted soon.

    Luv Hev xxx
