Thank goodness I had loads of cards made up for samples else I would not have had anything at all to post on my blog this week or next. Why does DIY in one room (one not even in use mind you) result in the entire house looking like a bomb site? I am at my wits end – I hate upheaval and untidiness and things out of place (in fact I am anal about it lol) so I am now soooo over this conversion. Wish we had never started now and wish even more it was all done but sadly we are waiting on deliveries so things have ground to a halt till the new door arrives. Typical I choose the door with the longest delivery time!
Okay so enough whining, I’ll get on to my card. I’ve used Feathered Friends from Lili of the Valley. Again I have no idea of the copic colours used as this was one of the images that I coloured up last month for advertising.
The paper is from the Forever Friends Christmas pad, the sentiment is Christmas Circular Sentiments from Lili of the valley, the gorge gingham ribbon and corner metal embellishment is from Wild Orchid Crafts and the felt poinsettia is a bit chopped off a Christmas garland I got from Tesco a couple of years ago in their sale (I think I paid 50p per garland – me loves a bargain lol).
That’s it from me for now, I am going to try and dampen down some of the dust (even a cuppa tastes more of cement than it does tea lol).
hugs
Sorry this is so late – talk about dragging things on! My electricity has been on and off and on and off all weekend and I got so sick and tired of powering the computer down then back up again I gave up and left it off till now. So now I have a gazillion emails to get through, I may take a while to get back to you so hang in there lol.

Congratulations ladies, please can you email me your addresses to claim your prize.
Friday already and my last day of holiday – back to work on Monday, oh how I wish I could win that lottery (don’t we all!). So it’s Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge and this week our Dawny P is hosting the challenge so chose Buttons Bows and Blooms as the theme. Nice and easy and right up my street. We have two prizes this week too, The Ribbon Girl and The Cutting Cafe' are sponsoring so double the chance of winning.
My new order arrived this week from Dies to Die For and in there was this scrummy Basic Grey Sweet Threads pad. It’s gorgeous and of course I had to break in to it right away lol. I also used a Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die – one of my all time faves. No matter what I throw at it I get a perfect cut every time, the white card I used is really thick and it cut through it no problem at all.
All my embellies (bar the pearl button) are from Wild Orchid Crafts: 25mm rose, 15mm roses, sweetheart blossoms, hydrangeas, silk ribbon, corner metal embellishments and the dinky little pearls on her shoes and handbag.
The craft room floor is going down today (if my Tony can manage it – poor soul put his back out yesterday and was in agony all of yesterday afternoon and evening.) My son-in-law is coming up to help him today, hopefully they will get it finished in a day. I tell ya I am so sick of eating, breathing and coughing dust I wish I had never asked for it to be done lol. The novelty is wearing off and I want my neat and tidy house back!!!!
Have a great weekend, I’ll be back later this evening to draw a winner for the Go Kreate candy
It’s Lili of the Valley Challenge day today and this week we have a sketch by Domi. I tweaked it a bit so I could fit the big puffy bow at the top of the image.
I love this silky crush ribbon from Ribbon Girl, it holds the bow beautifully. The gorge papers are from Nitwit Collections – Cookin Cookies. And the heart melting image …….. complete with Cavvie lol is called Christmas Snooze. This is my favourite of all the images released so far, love love love it! The sentiment is also from LOTV, from their Christmas Circular Sentiments. A touch of platinum stickles around all the edges, a few pearls and job done.
If you have missed the fabulous candy I am giving away compliments of Go Kreate follow the link at the top of my blog to go and enter, it closes tomorrow night and you don’t want to miss it!
Hugs
I’m still on my Sarah Kay cards (all the images were coloured at my last Copics class and it would be a shame not to use them on a card now wouldn’t it). So today I have used Fleur gathering flowers with Manon. The sentiment has been die cut with one of the sets of frames that I am giving away as candy from Go Kreate – this set is Ornament Frame 7 and is just perfect for sentiments. Love the shape.
The stunning papers are Maja Design 6 x 6 pads – they are showing out of stock at Dies to Die For but Tracy assures me there are more on their way. I have used papers from both the Life by the Sea and Life in the Country pads. The colours used to colour the image are:
Skin: E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E29, E50
Hat and path: E43, E42, E41, E40
Manon: C3, C1, C0
Reds: R39, R37, R35, R32
Blues: B95, B93, B91
Greens: YG63, YG11, G20
The Venise Lace heart and satin ribbon is from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the trellis rose, poppies, corner metal embellishment and pearls.
The inside has been decorated to compliment the front.
And here’s a closer look at that fab die cut

Today’s card features Little Festive Robins, one of the new Christmas stamps from Lili of the Valley. I adore this stamp, one of my faves from this release. The stamp is also from LOTV, from the Christmas Circular Sentiments set.
The papers are Nitwit Collections that I have had printed off for an absolute age. The ribbon I have had for ages as well. The snowflake is a Christmas decoration that a lovely lady in the US sent me last year (yep the same little angle that knows I love nougat lol). The corner metal embellishment is from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I nipped into Papercuts in Whitley Bay today to stock up on some of the new Christmas papers that are starting to trickle in to the stores (like I need more paper!!) and whilst I was there we sorted out 4 classes that I will be teaching over the next couple of months, one for Copics colouring and the others will be making different projects, so if you live nearby and would like to join in on one of the classes do drop them an email to get the details and dates.
It’s also Teddy Bo Tuesday today and also a new challenge which is being hosted by Team B – the theme is Alter Something and the DT have come up trumps this week! Also, there are some gorge new images out today – too cute for words!
Back to the garage conversion grindstone – the walls are getting the treatment today, I know it’s going to be a while before I get in there as there is still so much to do but oh I can’t wait (even though it means that Tony will be hefting all my crafty stash down there from the current craft room and the spare bedroom so he is going to have a darn good idea just how much stuff I have … oh dear!)
I also have some amazing candy to give away this week, as soon as it arrives and I get it photographed I will post it, this is one lot of deliciousness you won’t want to miss!!
hugs
Hope you all got your new Lili of the Valley Christmas stamps that you wanted :) I’ve a Belles n Whistles Little Friend card to share today, I missed out on this image when it was in Sugar Nellie rubber but am glad I waited as the B & W stamp is smaller so does not cover the whole card (got to have room for me embellies lol).
I got very brave and cut in to my new Maja Design papers from Dies to Die For. These are the Carpe Diem 12 x 12 papers, utterly stunning! They are so gorge they even got the sewing machine treatment (which I have not been doing as everything is upside down with the garage conversion so I had to dig it out from behind a pile of stuff lol). The little die cut corner is a now retired Quickutz die that I lost a few weeks ago!!! I was gutted but all I can say is I have the BEST friends, I found one in the US but the shipping was something like $30 for a little die!!! My fab little angel in the US came to my rescue and got it for me, sent it out priority mail along with a box full of the most delish nougat (I am addicted to nougat lol). The die is now in a safe place and the nougat is hidden away so I get to keep it all for ME!! Lol. Thanks sweets xxxx
Coloured with copics and a black prismacolor pencil:
Skin: E11, 01, 000, R20, 30
Hair: E29, 25, 50
Clothing and Grass: YG63, 61, G20
Flowers: Y32, 30
Tree and birdhouse: E79, 74, 70
The organza rose trim, 25mm rose, sweetheart blossoms, tulips and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The narrow gingham ribbon is from The Ribbon Box and the sentiment is Lili of the Valley clear Additions.
That’s it from me today, I am heading back downstairs to supervise (umm get in the way) again lol. The ceiling is almost up whoop whoop. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel even though my poor hubby has a long way to go yet.
Have a great week
hugs
I have two winners to announce tonight but before I do just a quick reminder that the Lili of the Valley Christmas stamps go on sale at midnight – 3 1/2 hours and counting lol.
First up is the winner of my Xmas in July candy prizes and that is
And the winner of the Simon Says Stamp candy - Hello Tilda is
Congratulations ladies, please email me your addresses (put the name of the candy you have won in the subject line please)
It’s my turn today to contribute a sample towards the Christmas in July with Wild Orchid Crafts and Lili of the Valley and my card features Christmas Dance, how cute is she!!!
I have used papers from my scraps drawer – I think they are Papermania and Elines Roses are Red. The little lady has been coloured with copics (not a clue what I used for her hair though but her clothes are R39, 35, 32m E43, 42, 41).
The embellies are all from Wild Orchid Crafts – I used a large poinsettia, guipure lace, satin ribbon, corner metal embellishment, and small gold padded angel wings for the leaves. The snowflake spacer is from Eggstravaganza. A close up of that gorgeous flower.
And now to my candy. Wild Orchid Crafts has provided me with a mini candy below to give away
And I have added a little bit extra – gingham ribbon, poinsettias and charms.
Please leave your name in the linky below if you would like to win both mini prizes and I will draw a winner tomorrow.
I will be back later or tomorrow with my Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge card (I didn’t manage to get it photographed yesterday. The challenge is “What’s cookin” so do pop across to the challenge
I’m back today with another sneak peek, this one is for our “Fun and Games” Lili of the Valley Challenge. How CUTE is that doggie in his red jumper lol, love it! The image will be on sale from 25th July, and this one is called Ski Jump.
I have used Papermania Christmas papers, they are new out and have quite a country feel to them. The Christmas tree is a Marianne D die that I have decorated with some self adhesive rhinestones from Wild Orchid Crafts. That that super cute little wooden reindeer is also from WOC, one of their new Christmas embellies. The ticket sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.
Don’t forget to check out the Ideas to Inspire blog and also the Wild Orchid Crafts blog as there will be links there each day to the DT and GDT members that have candy to give away (it’s my turn tomorrow!)
hugs
I thought I would go with a Sarah Kay card today for a change from Christmas. It’s another of the shabby chic cards I did for a magazine commission months ago. It’s the same colour scheme as the one I posted the other day as I worked from the same paper pad. This stamp is Antoinette and Bessa go for a stroll from Stampavie.
Again all the paper (Prima) and stamps (sentiment is My Favourite Things) are from Dies to Die for and the blooms, organza ribbon and brads are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I had to make a matching tag for one of the 5 cards. Again the sentiment is My Favourite Things
We’re still running with the Christmas in July with Wild Orchid Crafts and Lili of the Valley so don’t forget to check out the WOC and LOTV blogs so you can go and enter the DT's for the day mini candies. What a mouthful that was lol.
Back tomorrow with my Lili of the Valley challenge card and another sneak peek.
hugs
I’m home from my fab weekend away with the best peeps on the planet – yep those gorgeous LOTV girls (and Richard and Danny – can’t leave them out now can I lol). It was great to catch up with lots of you even though there’s never much time to chat. And those of you that were lucky enough to get the new Christmas stamps before they sold out will be happily stamping away all week I guess!
Wild Orchid Challenge blog is a year old – where has the time gone?? So to celebrate we are not only having our regular challenge which is a fab sketch by Dena, but we are kicking off our
Christmas in July
with Wild Orchid Crafts and Lili of the Valley bonanza
with oodles of inspiration and prizes so stay tuned all week to the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and Ideas to Inspire blog. Each day some of the DT and Guest Designers will be showcasing Christmas products from Wild Orchid Crafts and the new Christmas stamps release from Lili of the Valley!!
So for my card today I am using one of the new Christmas stamps from Lili of the Valley, this one is called Pretty Poinsettia. Isn’t she just gorgeous!!! The sentiment is from the clear Additions sentiment sheets also from Lili of the Valley.
For the past few weeks I have made so many traditional Christmas cards for magazines and samples that I broke free and went with PINK lol. I used those gorgeous Affection digi papers from Nitwit Collections. Soooo pretty! And I brought a bit of brown in for a totally different look for Christmas.
The embellies are all from Wild Orchid Crafts – gingham ribbon, hellebore, sweetheart blossoms, cherry blossoms, 20mm roses, 15mm roses, corner metal embellishment, pearls, and those gorgeous gold berries. There are loads of new Christmas embellies on the website, you can take a peek here
I honestly can’t remember the Copic numbers for this card (and most of them that I will be posting this week) as I coloured all the images together and I think every Copic I own was on my desk the whole of last week lol.
I do hope you will join in with the challenge and also all the fun – there will be 3 or 4 prizes being given away each day plus 2 grand prizes at the end of the week, you need to be in it to win it!!
Have a fabulous week, I know I will because I am on my jollies for a fortnight so am going to terrorise (ahem supervise) Tony doing the garage/utility to craft-room conversion
hugs
