Dandelion Clock and …. Sidney

This week’s Lili of the Valley challenge is Spring.  Now to be honest I have loads of LOTV bunnies, but I have not caught up after two weekends away, and this image was coloured at the NEC which is a perfect match the new kit from Nitwit Collections.  So, 10 minutes later a card was made.  The new kit is just gorgeous, crammed full of hot pinks, lime green, yellow, orange and white.  I printed out so many sheets I will have enough backing papers to last me for months lol.

The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I pulled the centres out of the flowers and popped a pearl brad and spacer in to jazz them up.  I also fluffed up the petals after I had spritzed them with glimmer mist for a pit extra texture.
Dandelion Clock was coloured with Copics and Prisma Pencils.

And now for Sidney.  I have had such a busy couple of weeks my feet have not touched the ground but when I got a call to go and rehome two little boys that I bred 5 and 6 years ago well everything else just took a back seat.  We went through to fetch them last night (thanks Karen xxx), my daughter has taken Sonny and I have kept Sidney.  My son-in-law and Sonny bonded right away and were stuck to each other like glue last night lol.  Sidney and my daughter’s cavalier boy Joey bonded really well so it’s a shame that Sidders has come to live with me but I am sure he will settle in his very own harem with my 6 girls lol.  He is going to pay the nice vet a visit asap to get the snip, sssshhhh don’t let him hear me say that lol.

So, here he is in all his glory, he looks a bit tatty and ragged but he will look a load better after he has a session with the groomer.  The photo is not the best, it was taken late last night and he is not at all orange like he looks in the pic, he is a rich tan so I will try and get some better photos of him and his harem on the weekend.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Dandelion Clock, Lili of the Valley; Sentiment Whimsy Stamps
Paper: Nitwit CollectionsEgg-stra Special Collection
Flowers and Pearls : 15mm roses, 25mm wild rose and daisy sunflowers
Ribbon:  The Craft Fairy

I’ll keep you posted on how my little man settles in.

Wednesday, 30 March 2011

Oh I love these Bildmalarna stamps, isn’t this image just the sweetest!  I know she’s taking an autumn walk but in my world she’s in late spring with all the pretty flowers lol.  Yes and I have fairies that live at the bottom of my garden lol.  Thought I would enter a challenge for a change and this card fits Totally Gorjuss challenge which is Spring is sprung.

My DT kit arrived from Dies to Die For whilst I was away last weekend, what a fab surprise to come home to especially as it was crammed full of the most delish papers.  I was in drool heaven lol.

I coloured Mimosa with Copics and Prisma pencils:
Skin: E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E33, E53, E51, E50
Clothes: R20, R00, R000, R0000; E44, E43, E42, E41, E40
Flower:  Y35, Y11, YG63, YG11
Shadows:  BG000, BG0000, W5, W3, W1, W00

I am going to try and list all the products used in one place instead of you having to hunt for them dotted throughout the post – can’t promise I will keep it up, I do tend to get carried away you know lol.

Stamp: Mimosa Autumn Walk
Paper:  Crate Paper Emma’s Shoppe 6 x 6 pad
Embellies: Cluny lace, 15mm satin ribbon, 15mm roses, 20mm roses, Dew Drops, large flowers and button from stash

I will draw a winner on Friday evening.

Stampavie DT call

Just a quick post to let you know that Stampavie is doing a DT call.  You can read all about it here.  The call closes on April 9th.

Wild Orchid Challenge – a sketch

Monday already, where did the weekend go!  Today is Wild Orchid Challenge day, and it’s one of my easy peasy sketches so I hope you will get a chance to join in.  We draw our GDT from entries now and have a new guest every month so get crafty girlies, it could be YOU!

I have used Nitwit Collections papers again, these are from the So Berry Precious set.  Loving the cherries!  I have coloured Rosy Posy with Copics and Prisma pencils as always (don’t think I could ever go back to distress inks now).

The flowers are natch from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the lace and seam binding and pearls.  I used a 40mm hybrid tea rose, 20mm roses and those new sweetheart blossoms (love these!)  I also used a filigree corner

Simon Says Stamp winner

This week’s Simon Says Stamp winner is

Congratulations honey, please email me (put Dress Up Tilda in the subject line) to claim your prize.

Fleur gathering flowers

I just adore this Sarah Kay image Fleur gathering flowers with Manon, don’t know if it’s the hat, or the doggie or the dreamy look on her little face but I think she is my all time favourite Sarah Kay stamp and that’s saying something!  It was Sarah Kay that got me hooked on stamping a few years ago.

And of course Sarah Kay and K & Co just go hand in hand don’t they?  I have used the blue Julianne pad with some Bazzill Kraft card from Dies to Die For.  I coloured the image with copics

Skin:  E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair:  E33, E53, E51, E50 & brown Prisma Pencil
Hat & Top: E44, E43, E42,  E41, E40 and 70% warm grey Prisma pencil
Jeans & Flowers: B99, B97, B95, B93, B91 and navy + black Prisma pencil
Doggie: C3, C1, C0 and black Prisma pencil
Greens: YG67, YG63, YG11, G20

I carried the sketch on the front through to the inside of the card as always, you can see a peek of it here

The gorgeous lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts, so soft and pretty.  The 10mm roses, 15mm roses, 20mm roses and the filigree corner are from Wild Orchid Crafts as well.  The large rose is from my bits ‘n bobs drawer.  The border punch is Martha Stewart deep edger punch.

This card is in my Ebay shop.

That’s all from me, waffled on enough now (it’s Wednesday night and I am scrambling to get all my posts scheduled while I am away – need match sticks to keep my eyes open lol)

Eyes down …

The Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge this week is Bingo!  Donalda suggested it a while back, what a cool idea – I think you will be seeing this challenge again I think!

I went for Gems, flowers and ribbon/lace – no surprises there then rofl.  I used one of my new Magnolias from Bunny Zoe’s.  Love that girl’s service – no hanging about waiting for your goodies when you need them yesterday!!  The fab step card is one of the packs of shaped cards I picked up from Which Craft UK at Harrogate.  The paper is Nitwits that I also got from Which Craft.  Love the elegant shape, and so quick and easy to make too.

Did you spot those new Sweetheart Blossoms, they are gorge!  A fair bit smaller than the cherry blossoms so work so well with the 20mm roses.  I don’t see them on the website yet so will let you know the link when they are.

Another new thing in stock at Wild Orchid Crafts is my all time favourite glue  Collall All Purpose Glue.  I could not craft without it as I use it for sticking all my card and paper together.  I detest double sided tape, the glue dries clear and any seeping.smudging can be rubbed away with an eraser and it stays wet long enough to position the card and get everything lined up perfect.  And those that know me know what I am like with crooked lines – they go straight in the bin so this glue honestly is the best thing since sliced bread.  I have crafting essentials:  My MS score board, my antiquated X Cut guillotine, Collall All Purpose Glue and Crafters Pick Incredibly Tacky glue (for my embellishments).  So there you have it, dump me on an island with these goodies plus me stamps and copics (and super smooth card) and I would be in paradise lol.

Have a great weekend, and those coming to the NEC, can’t wait to see you!

Lili of the Valley Challenge – Punch it!

Woohoo I am on my way to the NEC!!  Didn’t think I would get everything done but whatever is not done will have to keep till I get home on Sunday night.

It’s Lili of the Valley challenge day today and this week our challenge is Punch It.  Nice and easy and just what I needed to get a quick card done.

I have used Sprinkled with Sugar for today’s card, along with one of the new Clear Additions sentiments (this particular set sold out on the first day at Harrogate and methinks they will not hang about at the NEC either so if you are going, make the LOTV stall your first port of call ladies).

The paper is from my scraps drawer – no idea of the maker, sorry.  The flowers – cherry blossoms, gypsophila and 10mm roses are all from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the seam binding.  The gorge pink card is from Craftwork Cards – think it is called Marshmallow.  Love it so much I bought the lot from them last weekend rofl.

Birthday Bumps

Well I think I am recovered from Harrogate,  the old feet have got feeling back in them lol.  I’ve another of the samples made up for the shows for Lili of the Valley.

The papers are from my scraps drawer, I think they are Echo Park.  The image – Birthday Bumps – has been coloured with Promarkers and Prisma pencils.  The tag and sentiment is from the Clear Additions range.

That’s it from me today, I have been up since 5 trying to get myself sorted for going down to Birmingham on Thursday (not a chore because I am really looking forward to it, can’t wait!)

Have a great day.

Bunny Cupcakes

I'm not sure which is the cuter – the name or the stamp lol.  Just loving this Bunny Cupcakes image from Lili of the Valley, another stamp that is a doddle to colour.

I used some old old papers – are they Bo Bunny?  Can’t remember (it’s my age you know lol, and not one word from you Net!!!) rofl.  The sentiment is one of the new Clear Additions that were launched at Harrogate yesterday.   Apart from the Lili of the Valley stand that was heaving both days solid  there was nothing new (or I have far too much stash and it could never be the second option now could it?)  But I did get some of the most delish pale pink card (how hard is it to get a nice pink!!) from Craftwork CardsJacqui and I cleared them out of it lol.  I also stockpiled Nitwit papers and the most fantastic shaped cards from Which Craft UK that I will be playing with this week.  Apart from those brill little finds nothing that else that screamed “buy me!!!!”

The flowers are cherry blossoms and aster daisies from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The picket fence is a Doo Hickey die and the dotty organza ribbon is from The Craft Fairy.

That’s it from me today, short and sweet (seeing as I talked the hind leg off a donkey all weekend – again not one word Net!!).

Have a great week, and keep yer eyes peeled for some more candy this week :)

Candy Winners

Phew, back from a fantastic weekend at Harrogate.  The Clear Additions stamps literally flew out the door, I have never seen stamps shift so fast in all my life lol.  Just got time to unpack, get the washing done, meals cooked for my Tony for next weekend then head down to Birmingham for the show starting on Thursday.  What a gad-about I am (and I love it!!)

I have two candy winners tonight.  First up is the winner of the Daffodil Tilda so kindly sponsored by the lovely people at Simon Says Stamp, and that is you Lesley at Grenouille Greetings.

Congrats Lesley, please email me your address (with Daffodil Tilda in the subject line) to claim your prize.

Next up is the winner of the PomPom Fairy stamp so kindly sponsored by Lili of the Valley and that is you Fiona from Fi’s Cards and Crafts.

Congrats Fiona, please email me your address (with PomPom Fairy in the subject line) to claim your prize.

Teddy Bears Picnic and a mini candy

I hope this works because I am not back home till Sunday night (I’m too busy having fun at Harrogate lol).  Today I thought I would show how well the Clear Additions Postcard stamp works with cutie images.
I coloured Teddy Bears Picnic with copics and pencils.  The paper is K & Co (from Lili of the Valley).  The sentiment is also from the Clear Additions.  I love how the postcard (stamped on pale aqua card with Walnut Stain distress ink) works so well with the image and papers.
And check out those new vintage coloured 20mm roses, they should be in stock soooooon, I’ll let you all know as soon as they are.  The colours are sublime, loving the slightly grungy look to them.  Very YUM!
And today’s stamp I am giving away is PomPom – too stinkin’ cute!  If you fancy being in the draw please just leave a comment below and I will draw the winner later tonight.  The winner has now been drawn

Just Magnolia & Hanglar and Stanglar challenge

This weeks Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge is Favourite Colours.  Well we all know just how contrary I am and at the moment I am loving colouring browns ergo a brown card.

The image is from the last H&S kit on eBay and she was feeling very neglected.  I just love colouring up these stamps so must not neglect them any more.  I have had lots of work going on in the background, 4 magazine commissions plus samples for the new LOTV release has kept me out of mischief, so not much of anything else has gotten done (thank goodness my hubby does the housework lol).

I coloured her with Copics and pencils

Skin the usual E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair E29, E27, E25, E35, E50 and dark umber pencil
Top and shoes: E43, E42, E41, E40, T3, T1 and warm grey 50% pencil
Dress E29, E27, E25, E35, E51 (I used a LOT of E51 over and over till I was happy with how it all blended).  Then a dark umber Prismacolor pencil in the shadows to darken it a bit more
Shadows W5, W3, W1, E000, E0000, E40

The papers are K&Co Julianne 6 x 6 speciality pad, the ribbon and charm is from my stash, the cluny lace is from a sweet friend in the US, but The Ribbon Girl has it in stock so I need never panic about using it again lol.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - small flat gardenia, 20mm roses, 15mm roses.

The card is in my lil eBay shop

Have a great weekend

LOTV mini candy winner

The winner of the LOTV mini candy is

Congrats hun, please email me your address

Lili of the Valley challenge

It’s Lili of the Valley challenge day today, so one more day till the weekend and GNPE at Harrogate woohoo.  If you’re going and plan on getting the new Clear Additions stamps I would strongly recommend you stop at the LOTV stand first because I am sure there is going to be a stampede for them!  I have used one of the new Clear Additions stamps for the sentiment on this card.  LOVE these stamps soooo much (and I'm repeating myself I know lol).
We’ve one of my sketches to follow for today’s challenge, so you know it’s going to be easy peasy lemon squeezy.  I have use Umbrella Bunny and coloured it with Promarkers and Prisma Pencils.  I used Ice Grey 1,2,3 and Sunkissed Pink for the bunny, Sky Blue, Arctic Blue, Pastel Blue, Walnut and Ivory for the brolly.  I added some deeper shadows with a black pencil.
The papers are the gorgeous new Land Ho papers from Nitwit Collections.  They have a pirate theme so perfect for little lads but I think they work for my little Easter card too, don’t you?  Love blue and brown/beige together.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I used the sweet daffodils (that should be back in stock soon), 20mm roses, 15mm roses as well as self adhesive pearls.   I dotted yellow Liquid Pearls on the brolly and his clothes.
I have another stamp to give away today,   so leave a comment if you fancy your luck.  I didn’t get round to giving any birthday candy away last month so thought I had best start giving the candy away this week lol.  Winner now drawn

Blowing Bubbles

I just adore baby elephants and Blowing Bubbles has to be my favourite.  Loving those bubbles lol.  The papers are K & Co, from one of the packs that Lili of the Valley will be selling at upcoming shows.  The tags and sentiments are the new Clear Additions which will also be on sale at Harrogate and NEC before going on the website in April (if they can keep them in stock long enough – methinks these are going whizz straight into orbit lol)

I did the “out of box” technique so I could use a smaller circle nestie to fit on the  MTF Die-Namics doily die.  I used the doily border as well on this card.   The lush blue loopy trim is from The Ribbon Girl

The carnation type flowers are made from the flat blooms from Wild Orchid Crafts, they were white to start with till I attacked them with pink glimmer mist.  The green leafy swirl is a Bosskutz die.

The image has been coloured with Promarkers, can’t remember the colours I used as I sat and coloured them at work each day during my lunch break (yes they all think I am nuts and they ain’t wrong!)

I followed a sketch from a challenge blog and for the life of me can’t find it!  If someone knows which one it is please let me know so I can give credit.  Thanks xx

Friday Sketchers

Oh my goodness, I clean forgot to post my DT card for Friday Sketchers last weekend, so here it is now.  This week we have a fantabulous sketch by Jacque – one of the nicest and sweetest ladies in blogland.  Pop over to her blog as she regularly has the most amazing candy, makes your eyes pop out your head lol.  Bea, Jeanette, Claudia, Tanja, Jacque, Janneke and Rach  have made some brilliant cards from the sketch so if you get a chance do pop across to their blogs to take a peek.

So on to my card, another of the new Lili of the Valley images, this one is called Mix it and make it.  The sentiment is from the Clear Additions – I love every one of these new clear stamps, they are constantly in use!

The delish 16mm taffeta ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.  Love how it holds the puffy bow to perfection.  The papers are new Papermania Tea Party (I think).  Loving the little tea cups and teapots lol, too cute.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Craftsgypsophila and cherry blossoms.

I have another stamp to give away today, again if you want to be in the draw please just leave a comment and I will draw a winner later tonight.  Winner has now been drawn

Wild Orchid Challenge

OMW!  Did you see how many entries we had for our last Wild Orchid Challenge? 1012!!  I thought I was seeing things, thanks so much to all that entered :0)

This time our challenge is “Dieing to punch it out” – so die cutting and punching to feature.  Another nice and easy one as we all love our dies and punches don’t we lol.  As always there is a fabulous floral prize up for grabs kindly sponsored by Wild Orchid Crafts.

I have used one of the newly released Lili of the Valley images – Gift Wrapped.  Sooo sweet.  I have also used those gorgeous K & Co papers again, these are from the Wedding pack that will be on sale on the LOTV stand at forthcoming shows.  The sentiment is from the Clear Additions that will be on sale at the shows and on the website in April.

The image has been coloured with promarkers (love the blues and the yellows, so pretty and not at all bright and garish).  I deepened the shading with Prisma Pencils.

WOC products used – Guipure lace, 15mm roses, 20mm roses, 10mm roses and 30mm wild rose.  All have been blinged with glimmer mist pearl.

No punching on this card for a change but I used a Marianne D doily die and also a couple of Spellbinders dies.

Have a great week.
