Before I get on to this week's Lili of the Valley challenge, I just want to remind you that we have the 12 days of Christmas stamp a day give away on the Ideas to Inspire blog, so don’t forget to pop across each day to enter.
So now to my card for the Lili of the Valley challenge and also for my GDT card (which is SO late!!) for The Ribbon Girl challenge. This week the theme on LOTV is “my favourite things” and on The Ribbon Girl it is Lilac Pink and White. Some of my favourite things are fairies, glitter, flowers, ribbons and charms – my usual offering lol. I have used one of the soon to be released Molly Harrison fairies for today’s card. I absolutely love these grown-up fairies and Laila has outdone herself with turning Molly’s fabulous drawings into rubber stamps.
The beautiful paper is from the MME Le Paperie stack. The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl, it’s their 15mm satin ribbon. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have used 15mm roses, 4mm rosebuds, 8mm semi open roses, cherry blossoms, 35mm wild rose. The charm is from Ebay.
The image has been coloured with Promarkers. Apologies that the colours on the 2 photo’s don’t look the same, I had to do these pics on the laptop using Paintshop Pro as I don’t have Photoshop on there and have not used PSP for years and have forgotten how to use it lol. Took me ages to get these half decent lol. The colours I used are:
Skin: Apricot, Oatmeal, Blush
Hair: Walnut, Terracotta, Satin (and black Prismacolor pencil)
Dress: Purple, Amethyst, Orchid, Blue Pearl
Wings: Rose Pink, Pale Pink, Almond
Rock: Cool Greys 1 – 5
The glitter on the wings is Glamour Dust that I applied with Glossy Accents.
Hope you are all keeping warm, we are so sick of the snow now (well I was from the first flake lol – hate the stuff!!) My ice-cream cone bird bath in the back garden is now so top heavy there is more snow than bird bath lol).
