Phew I didn’t think I was going to get this post scheduled. I was sat at the computer last night trying to sort out the picture quality so I can see the card before I post it as it’s so fuzzy. And all of a sudden a bright flash streaked across my craft room accompanied by a great big bang. I nearly died of fright, our house along with quite a few others on our estate and the main cable box was struck by lightening. I thought we had been attacked by aliens lol. I didn’t think my big fat bum could move as quick as it did rofl. It’s funny now, but I got the fright of my life. If my hubby was having an AF attack the bang would have slowed his heart right down I tell ya! So we had no internet last night, my son’s cable box (NO TV or internet, horror!) and his burglar alarm blew up, his neighbours computer blew up and a lot of other burglar alarms were hit as well as the alarms were ringing like crazy here. Oh for a quiet life lol.
So on to my card, I have used those fabulous Go-Kreate dies again, this time I used the Half XXL Square Frame Frilly #2. I love that I can cut all the layers so they all keep the shape of the card base.
Edited to add: You need a larger (A4) die cutting machine to cut the large Go-Kreate and Spellbinders dies. I have the Spellbinders Grand Calibur die cutting machine and it's fab!
I have used one of my precious Hanglar & Stanglar stamps again, and coloured the image with Promarkers and Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, their circular Christmas sentiments. The papers are Simple Joys kit by Nitwit Collections and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - 25mm hybrid tea roses, 15mm roses, cherry blossoms, 8mm semi open roses and 4mm rosebuds.
This card is on Ebay along with a few others.
Stay warm, and I hope you have not had as much of this minging snow as we have had, well over 2 foot. Our bird bath in the back garden looks like a great big ice-cream cone with 2 foot of snow sat on top of it lol.
Hi Bev,
ReplyDeletethis card is glorious...I love the shape and of course the flowers....the dies you used to shape the card must be quite large.

Hi Bev, what a beautiful card this is! I love that shape, unfortunately I have a Cuttlebug so the're too big for my little machine. But I love the way you can give your card that wonderful shape!! My you must have had a big scare yesterday! What about the doggies?? My dogs are frantic when there is a bang outside from fireworks (which happens now and again already) and refuse to go out afterwards. Honoustly, they sit with their little legs crossed but won't go outside so scared are they!! Well have anice day, hugs, Frea

Hi Bev, Fabulous card and just love the shape.
ReplyDeleteWow! I would have been frightened to death as well.
I just got back from Scotland last night (Midnight) and hubby had to dig our car out of the snow. The worst part was getting from Dad's to the main road. Needless to say I kept my eyes shut until we hit main road. Had to get out yesterday or would have been stuck another week or more.
hugs
Marion
Oh wow Bev,just gorgeous

OMG! FREAKY weather!! Beautiful card Bev, gorgeous!! xxx
ReplyDeleteGosh the weather is getting worse isnt it? On to your card. Amazing as always. I bought lots of these dies from the NEC. They are fantastic arent they? I am actually thinking of purchasing the machine so that I can get even bigger dies. Wondering if you yourself have the machine and would you recommend it. Do let me know if you have a spare few minutes. Did loook at it.....but not the best looking thing is it? LOL Hugs Tammy xx
ReplyDeleteHi Bev. Absolutely gorgeous card. Love the colours and image. The shape of the card is beautiful. What machine do you cut these dies with, so I can give hubby a hint. What a frightening experience you must have had last night. We seem to have escaped the snow and have just the odd snow flurry but very bad frost. Donna

Hi Bev,
ReplyDeleteThe card is so beautiful, i just have a request that I am sure alot of peeps are wondering - how do you cut the base card to be a tent card when passing through the grand calibur, if you pass the whole die through you will get 2 pieces, you have me totally baffled! - Any chance of posting a pic or a quick tutorial and i am sure more shaped cards will appear with this new machine.
Hugs x
Simply beautiful - love the image, the colouring, the shape everything. You always show every image off so well. Hugs Sarah x
