It’s Wild Orchid Challenge day today and this time we have two prizes up for grabs, a delish package from Wild Orchid Crafts and a prize of 4 stamps of your choice from Lili of the Valley. It’s a nice easy challenge – A Classic Christmas, so lots of reds, greens and golds on your Christmas creations is all you need to be in the running for one of the two prizes.
And I went for the reds and greens. I just could not decide what to do till I stumbled upon this gorgeous Carol Wilson paper. If anyone knows where I can buy some more I will be forever in your debt!! I LOVE IT!! I have used a Sarah Kay stamp by Stampavie – Noel Joy. She was my favourite from last Christmas and is still my favourite this year. Loving that hat!!
I did not have to do much to this as the paper does it all, even to the glitter! I added the usual flowers – I don’t think I could call a card finished unless it had a florists shop going on lol.
I’ve used the new Hellebores and also 20mm roses, 15mm roses, gypsophila then punched out some holly leaves and popped them in the gaps.
The sentiment is from the new Lili of the Valley circular sentiments that go on sale at the NEC on Thursday whoop whoop, and on the website on the 12th November. The gorgeous holly ribbon I picked up at my local craft store, I just ran a piece of thin red ribbon over it as it needed something to lift it I think.
I coloured the image with Copics and used:
Skin: E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair, boots and wood: E79, E74, E70, E40
Reds: R29, R27, R25, R22
Greens: YG67, YG63, YG11
The card is for sale on Ebay, along with a few others.
Thanks for stopping by,
what a very sweet card
