Lili of the Valley & Cute Card Thursday Challenges and a Whimsy Sneak Peek

My first Whimsy Stamps sneak peek from the new Christmas release features the fabulous Holiday Tickets that go on sale on Sunday 3rd October. I LOVE ticket sentiment stamps so to have the chance to own and stroke some Christmas Ticket sentiments … well I jumped at the chance lol. There are 6 ticket stamps (one blank so you can use one of the additional 3 sentiments) in the set.

I have used two sentiments from the set – Tis the Season ticket and the Peace on earth (in the Stempelglede grunge circle) is one of the additional text stamps.

I have also used one of my neglected Hanglar and Stanglar stamps – shame on me!! You will be seeing lots of them as I am loving colouring them (bought a set off Ebay the day before yesterday and another set last night – no hope for me lol).

The cream holly paper is from an Anna Griffin Christmas set that a friend bought from QVC then kindly gave to me (she prefers me making her cards for her *wink*) and the gingham is one of my freebie sheets (link in the side bar). The poinsettias are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the little pine cones I picked up in the fields on one of my walks with the dogs.

And on the back is my awesome Custom Rubber Stamp also from Whimsy – LOVE IT!!

Copics used:
Hair: E55, E53, E51, E50
Skin: E21, E00, E000, R20
Reds: R29, R24, R22
Greens: G82, G40, G20
Shoes: E44, E42, E40
Lantern: E15, E13, E11, YR24, Y11

This card is for sale on Ebay until 1st October

Next up is my DT card for Lili of the Valley challenge and also my lst GDT card for Cute Card Thursday. The LOTV challenge is my sketch, the theme on CCT is Tic-Toc – time (and the closest I could get to this is the date – 25th December an/or Christmas “Time” …… it works for me rofl) – thanks so much for having me as a GDT for September Leann x

Also, did you know that Lili of the Valley are now stocking fabulous Super Smooth card for stamping and colouring with Copics and Promarkers? You know how hard it is to get a really good quality card that enables you to blend perfectly, well this card really does that and it is such a reasonable price too - 50 A5 sheets for £5 so if you would like to purchase some of this card just click HERE to go direct to the page. I really can't recommend it highly enough, it's magic!

I have used Winter Bunnies for this card, coloured with Copics:

Bunnies: E53, E51, E50
Log: E79, E77, E74, E71, E44, E40
Snow: B000, B0000
Mouse and little sled: CC, C1, C0, R39, R35, R32, YG67, YG63
Robin: E25, E21, R05, R01

The sentiment stamp is from Clever Cut, the gorgeous papers are from Bearly Mine Designs (love the rich, traditional colours in this set) and the raffia ribbon is from Hobbycraft. The pine cones are from one of my walks, I sprayed them with some gold spray paint, the berries and rose are from my stash. I applied Diamond Stickles to all the layers – paper, image and sentiment for a little bit of bling.

Phew, that’s all from me today – I have three cards for tomorrow (guess who has been busy!)

A sneak peek of a sneak peek and one I had to share

I just had to share this photo taken at the weekend of my little granddaughter Amy watching a 3D film.     When I saw the photo I burst out laughing bless her.  Ummm  the glasses are the wrong way up Amy!

Tomorrow sees the official sneak peeks of the new Whimsy Stamps Holiday/Christmas release and the stamps are simply fabulous.  Some are so different from what I usually work with but I absolutely love them.

So to wet your whistle for what’s to come (including an awesome blog hop in a few days) here’s a little sneak of tomorrow’s sneak peek.

I’ll be back tomorrow morning bright and early with a couple of cards.

1 Million + hits candy

At last, my candy for zooming over the 1 million hits a couple of months back (and not to mention over 2750 followers – gulp!). I really am so overwhelmed at the amount of followers and hits I have, thanks so much for visiting and for coming back again and again. :)

Simon Says Stamp, Lili of the Valley, Wild Orchid Crafts and Letraset have been so generous and have sponsored these fab prizes for me. There is still one more to come but I will post that later as a separate candy. There are four prizes up for grabs, so I will do four individual draws (so you have a better chance of winning). So here’s the prizes:

A fabulous selection of flowers and pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts

A fabulous selection of crafty goodies from Simon Says Stamp

Six Lili of the Valley stamps from the new Christmas releases

Two sets of Promarkers from Letraset

All you need to do to enter the draw is leave a link to your blog so I can find you and if you fancy, mention it on your blog (that would be great, but not necessary to be in the draw). The winners will be announced on Tuesday 5th October.

Another neglected stamp

Monday already yuk! They come around far to quickly don’t they! Today I have a little Christmas card using another neglected Hanglar & Stanglar stamp from last year. I’ve had a good play this weekend and managed to use two neglect sweeties, I’ll post the other one later in the week. This stamp is called JulhÄngla med girland, I think it means Christmas Hanglar with garland (sounds good to me lol)

I have used some aqua tulle instead of ribbon or lace for a change, love the soft effect it gives.

I’ve combined the Magnolia DooHickey flowers with some 15mm roses and 10mm roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Still doing the tag bit on the card after seeing Rach’s fab idea. The sentiments are from the Kaisekraft Christmas sentiments from Oyster Stamps.

The image was coloured with Copics and I used:

Skin: E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E55, E53, E51, E50
Coat etc: BG75, BG11, BG10, E43, E41, E40
Boots: E44, E42, E40
Wreath: E42, E40, G21, G20

I applied Stickles to her wings and around her clothes and popped a tiny little pearl heart on her coat as a brooch.

This card is for sale on Ebay till 1st October

Mr Snowman

I’m doing well inking up neglected stamps. Mr Snowman from Lili of the Valley has not been neglected for long though, only a month or so.

Still using Magnolia papers – they are sat in a pile on my desk (cuz I was too lazy to put them all back after pulling them all out on Saturday – now it looks like a tornado has hit my craft room lol). The little reindeer started off life as a red and cream chipboard tree ornament from Tesco last year. They were in the reduced bin and a girl can’t pass up on a bargain now can she? A couple of coats of white acrylic paint, a light sanding,a coat of Tim Holtz Distress Crackle paint, a rub over with some teal gilding wax and a quick run round the edges with a Krylon Silver Leafing pen and it fits in with the card quite well I think.

The snowflakes are Marianne D dies coated with Stickles. The gorge sentiment is from one of Jayne Nestorenko’s Adorables sets from Crafters Companion.

I dotted some stickles around Mr Snowman so he looks like he’s in a snow storm rofl. I’ve used copics to colour the image:
Hat: C9, C7, C5, C3, C1
Snowman: BG000, BG0000, Blender, Nose R05, R02
Scarf and Presents: GB78, BG75, BG72, BG10
Twigs E25, E21

That’s all from me today, thanks for stopping by,

Miss Thang

I am so late with my post, I clean forgot to schedule this when I photographed the card the other day.  I’m in the old pink phase again – as if you couldn’t guess rofl

Miss Thang by KennyK has been coloured with Copics.  I used

Skin:  E21, E00, 000, R20, Eyes B41
Pinks: R85, R83, R81, RV10
Greys: C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C00

The paper is Magnolia which I have edges with some Tim Holtz  Distress Crackle Paint (Picket Fence).

The gorgeous punched border is done with a Martha Stewart ATP punch that a dear friend sent me – thanks sweetie mwah xxx, it’s similar to the loops punch they did a while back but I think the loops on this one look like little crowns – hows that for matching the paper to the punch lol.

I am still using Rach’s fab idea to make a little tag for the sentiment.  The round sentiment is Catslife Press, the ticket sentiment is from Whimsy stamps, the flowers are from my stash and the crystal effect buttons are from the Hobby House.

It’s Kenny K Krafty Girlz challenge day today, so pop across and see all the eye candy Team B have for you.  There is also a new release - Critterz"  which will work so well with his other images.  Donna has done two fantastic cards using the critters with some of the girls, go take a peek!  I think those difficult mens cards are solved after seeing Donna’s brilliant ideas.

Dawny P has provided us at Just Magnolia with another of her brilliant sketches to follow. I do love working with Dawn’s sketches.

I received this delish Prima Fairy Flora pad from Charmed Cards and Crafts on the weekend, OMW I nearly fainted when I cut into the papers – they truly are gorgeous. Breathtaking actually.

Lili of the Valley and Cute Card Thursday

Two cards to share today (only cuz I didn’t get myself organised in time to use one card for both challenges lol).

First up is my Lili of the Valley challenge card – this week the challenge is to make an Untraditional Christmas Card.  Nice and easy for me – I just love yellow and pink together.

I have coloured The Night Before Christmas stamp with Copics:

Bunny: E33, E53, E51, E50
Suit: R83, R81, RV10
Stocking, candle: YR31, Y21, Y11

The sentiment stamp is from Clever Cut, the papers are Marianne D (from Cutting Edge Crafts) and the flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts10mm roses, 15mm roses, cherry blossoms, 6mm rose buds, 30mm Wild Roses.

The gorgeous punched border is a Martha Stewart ATP punch set.  The white cotton lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

My second card today is for my GDT spot with Cute Card Thursday, this week we have a sketch to follow.

I have coloured Olivia with Kittens from Stampavie with Pro Markers.
Skin: Oatmeal, blush
Clothes & flowers: Cerise, Blossom, Almond
Hat: Mustard, Ivory
Hair: Shale, Satin
Greenery: Forest Green, Meadow Green, Marsh Green
Path: Caramel, Satin, Ivory
Plant Pot: Terracotta, Ivory
Kitties: Ice Grey 2 and blender to soften

The papers are once again Marianne D (I think they are called Baby Girl).  The flowers are WOC – cherry blossoms, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, 8mm semi open rosesaster daisies.  The gorgeous 25mm organza ribbon is also from WOC

This card was the last of the three christening cards that were commissioned.

Right that is all from me today, another epic post (I can’t half witter on rofl).

A Hanglar & Stanglar card

I am ashamed of the pile of uninked rubber that I have (okay so it’s more than a pile – more like a couple of drawers full blush). This little cutie fell on the floor when I was rummaging through the drawers so I decided to ink it up instead of throwing back in to keep the rest of the neglected stamps company for another year lol. Whilst I was doing this blog post I took a quick circuit of the challenge blogs and see this card fits a few challenges: Moving along with the times – Christmas, Christmas Cards all year round – a card that is any shape other than the standard 4 1/4 X 5 1/2.

I have used last year’s Magnolia Christmas papers, I love these colours so much. The Joy sentiment is another from the bargain Kaiserkraft Christmas Sentiments that I picked up from Oyster Stamps. The round sentiment is from Catslife Press. I ordered from them direct and was really impressed with the service and the prices and the postage was incredibly reasonable too.

A close up of the yummy snowflakes. The die is Marianne D, I just applied Stardust Stickles to the snowflakes after I had cut them out (then because I am so impatient proceeded to get wet Stickles everywhere and had to start over rofl). The rhinestone spacers and brads are from The Hobby House.

The big flat-backed rhinestones in the corners I found in one of my bits ‘n bobs drawers. Can’t ever remember getting them so don’t have a clue who makes them.

The white cotton lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts, love the pointy pattern, it reminds me of icicles. I distressed around the edges with Sir Tim’s distressing tool, then applied some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink then slathered on the old Stickles.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and used:
Skin: Apricot, Oatmeal, Blush, and cheeks coral
Hair: Walnut, shale, satin
Gloves, trousers: Khaki, pastel beige, ivory
Top, hat: Petrol Blue, duck egg and grey green
Shoes: Shale, Satin

I also used a black Prismacolour pencil to darken the shadows and a Sharpie white poster paint pen for the highlights on her cheeks.

This card is for sale on Ebay till 26th September along with a few other cards.

Phew, that was a marathon and a half.

Oldie but a Goodie

Today is my second spot as GDT for the Oldie but a Goodie challenge and this weeks challenge is just up my street lol – Pink and Girly.  My card for the challenge is another of the commission cards I had to make last week, and I have used an old Sugar Nellie which I forgot I even had and don’t know why, it’s the sweetest image!  I do love Elisabeth Bell’s images, she captures the innocence of these little children so perfectly.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (bar the biggest one which I found at the bottom of the drawer when I was having a tidy out).  I used 10mm roses, 25mm hybrid tea roses, 6mm rose buds.

The 25mm organza ribbon is also from Wild Orchid Crafts and the gorgeous papers are from Bearly Mine Crafts – Vintage Collection which I have printed on to Centura Pearl paper and the pearlescent sheen the paper gives off is exquisite.

The sentiment is printed (fonts used Amazone and Chocolate Box – both free fonts).  I coloured the image with copics:

Skin:  E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair & Swing: E79, E74, E50
Rope: E35, E30
Dress, Tights and Shoes: E43, E41, E40, R21, R11, R00

Thanks to the Oldie but a Goodie girls for having me join them as their GDT for the first two challenges, it’s been such fun!

Thanks for stopping by,
