How beautiful is this image - I cried when I saw it, not only as it is so beautiful but also the meaning behind it and how it all came about.
Denise (from Whimsy Stamps) got together with Crissy Armstrong to put this together. Crissy Armstrong has created a beautiful limited edition digital stamp carousel horse called "Wings of Hope" which is currently available exclusively in the Whimsy Stamps online shop. This digital stamp will be available to purchase from now until February 28th, 2010. All proceeds from the sale of this image, minus any PayPal fees, will be sent to the American Red Cross disaster relief for Haiti. I'm entering this card in this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges challenge which is Pretty in Pink.
They will be keeping a weekly tally on the Whimsy site for readers to see just how much money has been raised and at the end of February, all monies collected will be sent to the American Red Cross fund. It's another easel card - I really love these.
I have used some beautiful Magnolia Christmas paper (I love that these can be used all year round) as it has wings in the pattern. I also went for pink as a very dear friend and amazing lady has been diagnosed with breast cancer and if anyone needs hope and prayers it's her. This is winging it's way to you today darling, chin up and know I am thinking of you xxxxx
The roses are from Wild Orchid crafts and are blinged with Snow Angel Glimmer Mist. The sentiment (how perfect) is from Whiff of Joy
I cut the horse out and raised it with foam pads to give a bit of depth and definition as I have chosen such pale colours. It has been coloured with Copics and the colours used are:
Horse body and Pole- C00, C1, C3, C9 (hooves)
Tail, mane and saddle bit (no idea what to call it - I'm sooo not the horsey type lol) RV000, RV00, R81, R83, R85
Leaves G21

Stunning!! And also if you wouldn't mind I have a question...how did you get glitter on the wings without the ink smearing?? I have no trouble coloring digis but when I go to add glitter it ALWAYS smears. :(
