Guess what! I did it again, made a card and forgot to post it so this one was for last week's Stamp Something Christmas in July challenge. Talk about being a total DIVVIE!! So now it was going to be a just for fun card and one more for the Christmas pile. But then I checked out Cute Card Thursdays challenge and guess what - it's Christmas in July hee hee, so I'm sorted for a challenge for this card.
I have used one of my new Motivet DT stamps – now this is what I call seriously CUTE!! I ended up stamping and colouring the image 3 times as I could not get the blue the right colour to match the paper and we all know how I have to have things matching (it’s the OCD you know!)
I stamped the sentiment straight on to the card, not done this too often in the past (terrified of making a mess) but really like it (plus I haven’t a punch big enough for the sentiment). How gorge is the font – love it!
A close up of the flower - Jill at The Hobby House has ordered these beauties, I'll update you here once they arrive in stock. Both flowers were white, I sprayed them with Glimmer Mists, one in Old Lace and one in Hydrangea (love these, they change the colour so beautifully). I used one of the snowflakes as the spacer and dangled another smaller snowflake off it. I edged the petals with a Marvy marker and some Stickles for a bit of bling.
I've shown the inside as I just love the sentiment (okay and the flower lol). I was sent the new Martha Stewart Border and Corner punches. What a battle I had to figure it out - there are NO instructions with them on how they work together and I spent hours last night trying to find something on Google. In the end I resorted to just using the border punch until I can work out what sizes are needed to get the corner to line up with the border and all fit in. I nearly tore my hair out last night I was sooooo frustrated. Thumbs down on these punches just for the lack of instruction! Such a pity as the punches themselves are fab - love the laciness the snowflake punches give.
Just another view.
