We have a nice and simple challenge for you this week on Whiff of Joy - charms. I didn't know about you but I am struggling to find my mojo with this heat - all I want to do is go and sit in the garden, not the ideal place to try and make cards lol.
I found this gorgeous Anna Griffin paper at The Hobby House when I was mooching through the shop on the weekend, oh dear there was soooo much delish stuff I wanted to bring home with me lol. Only one problem, I didn't pick up any matching papers and wanted to have the ribbon treatment on the card so I stamped a piece of green card with a Stampin Up backgrounder stamp and Certainly Celery to break up the plainness of the paper. I *think* it works.
I'm also back on the pink and green trail again - I knew I couldn't keep away from it for too long. I also had to use the sentiments from my Simon Says Stamp DT kit - the sentiments are amazing. I can see these being a permanent feature on my desk. I struggled with the green, thought I would be clever and use some new twinks that arrived from the US this week, only the colour was wrong and I didn’t have time to do another image (serves me right for leaving things to the last minute then deciding to experiment *rolls eyes*)
I used another piece of the stamped card for the inside and ran the ribbon through again but omitted the bow as it was too bulky.
Recipe:
Stamps: Whiff of Joy Kneeling Willow, Simon Says Stamp sets You make the flowers smile and Simply the best sentiments, Stampin Up Bella Toile (I think!!) stamp
Colouring Medium - Distress Inks and H2O's
Paper: Anna Griffin from The Hobby House
Tools: Martha Stewart Ribbon Threader punch, EK Success Slim scallop border punch, Martha Stewart Branch punch, Nestabilities
Embellishments: Roses, Prima Flowers, Butterfly charm, Dressmakers pins and ribbon from stash
