I've had a couple of days off work to try and catch up after being away last weekend - that mountain of ironing was huge!! Anyway, all done now thankfully so I managed to have a few hours to make a couple of cards yesterday
The first one is for a challenge combo - Stampavie & More (a brilliant sketch this week) and Dutch Dare which is to decorate the inside of your card - easy one for me lol and also for Colour Create which is the colours of the rainbow - okay I ain't got no blue or purple but this is about as many colours as I can comfortably combine on a single card. I am terrified of lots of colours together and live in a totally beige world lol.
I did a bit of masking again to combine both images on the front, and also carried the tree through to the inside of the card (it is stuck on straight - it's my poo photography that's making the tree look like it's about to fall over!!) The tree has been converted from a citrus tree to an apple tree, this stamp is just so versatile.
Another of the inside, more of that super busy paper and a little bit of punching.
Recipe:
Stamps: Whiff of Joy Shy Willow and Citrus Tree with Sentiment
Colouring medium: My beloved distress inks and twinkling H2O's
Paper: Mambi
Tools: Sewing Machine, Nestibilities labels 4, EK Success Fleur De Lys Edger Punch
Embellies: Prima flowers, Hat pins from Hobbycraft, silver flower spacers & ribbon from stash
My second card for today was a request from Stephanie from Motivet, to make a 4th July card. I struggled with this one as I have never made one before and had to go on the hunt for downloads as I don't have any papers that would have done for this card. I luckily had a freebie download in my files. I made this card using the sketch on Mojo Monday (not done a MM sketch for ages and loved this week's). I kept the colours more deep on the image to tone in with the brick red of the papers.
I got out the twinklets again and coated some stars - I didn't want anything "solid" as the papers and image are quite busy and the glassy stars just seemed to work for this card.
The inside - a few more stars and one of the fabulous Motivet sentiment stamps and the card was done.
Recipe:
Stamps: All Motivet - Doraline & Dexter 4th July, sentiment on front, sentiment inside
Papers: Download
Tools: Sizzix stars die, Nestibilities labels 3, Martha Stewart Diamond border punch
Embellies: Star brads from an ancient QVC Kit (knew I would have a use for them some day lol)
Thanks for looking,
wow these are fab I love them x

Sorry to disappoint you Bev, but it does look like your card does have a little purple in it! {or at least the picture looks like it has purple} a very small amount in the bottom of the DP! If it's not purple, you could always pretend since that's what the computer screen looks like!
