Melinda in pinks and greens

I wonder if I could make a card without using green? With great difficulty I think lol.woj-sk-sat-kandco1For a change I've actually managed to get a card finished for Sketch Saturday with plenty of time to spare. Jo has another very yummy sketch this week, and it gave me the excuse to use my MS ribbon threader punch (for someone who left it sat on the shelf for months and months, I'm going to wear it out shortly!!) I masked the image to add the cloud for Melinda to sit on.
woj-sk-sat-kandco2
I love using these K&Co papers, everything works so well and you get so much in one of those little 6 x 6 pads that I don't even feeling guilty punching flowers out of some of the papers. Aren't these heavy daisy spacers (the small ones just so fab!!). I stamped the green paper with a Stampin Up canvas backgrounder stamp and certainly celery ink to give a bit of texture to the petals and leaves
woj-sk-sat-kandcoflowers
I've more or less carried the sketch through to the inside again, just left the bottom strip off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Whiff of Joy Musing Melinda, sentiment from the Swirls set, Swirly Cloud, Stampin Up Canvas backgrounder stamp
Coloured with distress inks and H2O's
Distress inks: Tattered Rose (skin), Antique Linen and Vintage Photo (hair), Worn Lipstick and Peeled Paint (clothes) and a touch of broken china for the cloud and wings
Twinkling H2O's: Antique Linen, Lemondrop and Scarab Beetle for hair, Playful Peony and Wintermint for clothes.
Paper: K&Co McKenna 6 x 6 pad
Tools: Martha Stewart ribbon threader punch, Martha Stewart Scallop Edge Punch, Retro flower punch, Stampin Up 5 Petal Punch, McGill Multi Word Tags punch, Nestibilities Labels 3 dies, EK Success Swirl Flourish punch which Jill has back in stock, Martha Stewart Branch Punch
Embellishments: Large Daisy spacer, small heavy daisy spacers, Chain and jump rings, strawberry charm, Papermania Pearl brads

Phew I think that’s all I used lol

Thanks for looking,

  53. Hi Bev, a beautiful card! Can i ask do the Martha Stewart punches cut through cardstock? I have been after the doily lace edge punch for ages and can't get hold of it, then saw you use the new/simple scallop one on this card and it's so pretty that i might go for that one too! What sort of thickness can you cut through though as i was something that would cut core'dinations for example. Thanks, Kate :o)
