And Oh Dear it is lol!! I really really really struggled with this weeks CCT recipe challenge, 2 papers and 4 embellishments, with me being the more is more kinda girl. I ended up making two cards for the challenge, the first card just was not going to work with only four embellishments. Not that I think the second card does either and since photographing it I've pulled the corner embellie off and replaced that with flourish punches, leaves for the flower and lots of pearls - aaahhh, I feel better now rofl.
Here's the second card - I have not used Willow with Hot Chocolate for ages and it's such a shame - it's such a fab stamp. The flower is made the same as the lace flower off the last card I made, I gathered up a piece of organza ribbon, joined the seams and popped a mulberry rose in the centre. The corner I did by punching a 2" scallop square then put this into the corner punch, lined up the scallops from the underneath and punched out the corner - and voila, a scalloped corner.
Recipe:
Stamps: Whiff of Joy Willow with Hot Chocolate and Whiff of Joy General Sentiments
Colouring medium: Distress inks and H2O's
Paper: K&Co Classic K Bailey 6 x 6 pad from The Hobby House
Embellishments: Organza ribbon and self adhesive pearls, mulberry flower
Tools: Fiskars Apron Lace punch, from The Hobby House, oval and round Nestibilities, 1 1.4" round punch and corner punch - both Stampin Up, white gel pen
And now for the card that wasn't lol.
I dug out another oldie but goodie, 007 Charlie is just the best for men's cards!! As I said this was originally made for this weeks CCT challenge but looked too bare, even with the busy paper/. So I added the Zooms and the HOTP button brads oh and a punched corner and am much happier with it now.
Recipe
Stamps: Whiff of Joy Charlie 007 and Whiff of Joy cheers sentiment
Colouring medium: Distress inks and H2O's
Papers: HOTP (from a QVC TSV yonks ago)
Embellishments: Zoomz from Stamp Galaxy, brads (HOTP - same TSV kit)
Tools: Stars die - Sizzix, Stampin Up corner punch, white gel pen
