I was lucky enough to be picked as this weeks Guest Designer on Colour Create. This weeks challenge is Pink and Grey with the option of Cute and Cuddly. Well, I had a think, as you do, and for me pink and grey screamed Wedding!! Once that was sorted I knew straight away I was going to use the adorable Cake Topper set for this challenge. Now come on - you don't get more cute and cuddly than these two now do you lol.

I coloured the image with Prismacolors for a change (after I had blown the dust off!!) and have glittered her wedding dress with Glamour Dust, although it's not showing too well in the pictures - hurry up summer and decent light!!!

I didn't have a single grey flower!! Can you believe it!!! I didn't want to use punched flowers as they seemed too heavy for the delicate papers so I made one by gathering up a length of organza ribbon and joined the ends together, popped a spacer and a pearl brad through the centre and was really pleased with how it turned out!!

I carried the design through to the inside of the card.

Recipe:
The Greetings Farm Cake Topper stamps coloured with Prismacolors. Sentiment on the front is Stampin Up, inside is computer generated.
Papers are Paper Pizzaz Wedding
Ribbon is Dovecraft from the PaperMill Shop and the border punch is by Martha Stewart
For the Magnolia vs Stampavie challenge this week Donna has done another amazing sketch, this is my take on it (and I say my take cos divvie head forgot to fix the ribbon on the mat before sticking it to the paper, and because I used a square card there wasn't enough room for a pin at the top of the image so this is a real bodge of a card!!)
The beautiful K&Co papers from Sally were the starting point for this card - I just adore the rich, warm tones in this pack.

I used the last of the scraps left over for to decorate the inside.

Recipe
Magnolia image coloured with Distress inks,Lyra watercolour crayons and Twinkling H2O's
Sentiments - front is Stampin Up, inside is See D's
Papers are K&Co
Flowers are Prima
Spacers and charms from Ebay
Brads are Papermania
I received this award from Karen, thanks so much sweetie xx

Thanks for looking,

Hi, I just happened to find your blog when I was surfing. I love it! Your cards are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love the grey "flower" made of the ribbon, it is even better than a flower, I think. Especially for this card.
If I need a flower in some color I don't have, I just pick a white flower and color it with my inkpad. That is why I always buy white flowers too.
Greetings from the Netherlands,
Marie-José
