The
CCT challenge 18 is
Animals Only - No People Allowed and I needed to make a get well card for a friend so combined this challenge with the
Mojo Monday 46 challenge (first time I've done one of these and loved it!!) I've tweaked the layout a little by adding the crochet rose bit think it needed something as the circle was too big (that will teach me to CHECK things before sticking them in place!!) I also wanted to try making on of my crochet flowers using bling embroidery thread and it worked a treat, soooo ... I am no longer restricted to crochet thread colours now, I'll be using up all my embroidery threads too lol! No faffing with this card, it was done in under 10 minutes.
Penny Black I'm so cute stamp
K & Co papers
Rest of stuff from stashThe second card is one for a colleagues birthday, so I thought it would fit with the
Arty Girlz Challenge this week - why are men's cards SO difficult to make (probably cos they don't do cute lol). Went back to basics for this card, the background is made by stamping the harlequin backgorund stamp onto SU soft sky card with soft sky ink. The image was made by brayering different shades of blues and greens, then stamping on the lobster shack image then sponging chalk inks around the border to give a frame. I loved making this card, even though I did it last night and despite scrubbing my hands with bleach they are still a gorgeous shade of turquoise!!
