I’ve had this card sat on my desk for over a week waiting to be photographed and at last I managed to get it done this evening.  I’ve been MIA again …… I go for the 2nd last (I hope) scan tomorrow then just one more and hopefully a diagnosis and correct medication so I don’t land up spending Saturday hooked up to machines in A&E resus till the wee hours of Sunday morning.  Ugh I am so fed up with all this now, I am like a pin cushion from all the sticking they did to me yesterday …. they got me good and I’ve got the bruises to prove it lol.

Anyhoo, enough moaning, here’s Sara (another Saturated Canary beauty) that I coloured with copic markers.

Copic colours used are:
Hair E57, 53, 40
Skin E13, 11, 00, 000, R30
Pinks: R89, 85, 83, 81
Aqua BG15, 13, 11, 10

The papers are First Editions Bella Rose – LOVE this paper pad

I used some of the new products (as well as the old) from Wild Orchid CraftsMixed pastel magnolias, cosmos daisies, open roses, sweetheart blossoms, pearl loop spray stems (that I used as leaves), pearls, butterfly from the mixed metal embellishments, seam binding and white flower shape flat backed pearl.

WOC have added loads of new goodies to the website, and some of the new colour combinations are simply sublime!  You can check out the new goodies here.

Sorry I’ve been MIA again, I got not so good results from the doctors after extensive tests, and have been backwards and forwards to hospital appointments for further tests, scans etc.  Shoo, I’ve not had time to blink this past month.  Anyway, I managed to find a window to get some colouring done and had my favourite Saturated Canary image, Nevaeh, all printed out and ready to colour.  Apologies for the grainy photos, I am struggling to get used to a new camera.  Ugh I am so tempted to go back to the old one – at least I know that works lol.

I used copic markers to colour her and only used a beige pencil for the shading around the image

Skin: E13, 11, 00, 000, 0000, R22, R20
Hair: E49, 57, 44, 42, 40, 50

The flowers are from Wild Orchid CraftsTrellis rose, apple blossoms, open roses in 15mm and 10mm sizes.  I also used one of the sweet new butterflies

The lace is from The Ribbon Girl.

It’s all about the hair!

I absolutely love the hair that Krista Smith draws for her digi images, and this week Saturated Canary challenge is coloured hair – eek!  I was really out of my comfort zone with this one, see I’m an old fogey so hair needs to be brunette, blonde, black, red or grey (can’t forget the old grey lol).  Anyhow, I pulled up me big girl panties and went with ….. blue

Tilly is one of the new Little Darlings rubber stamps, I am loving these! The lavender spot organza ribbon, flower sparkly button and silver colour butterfly are all from the Ribbon Girl.

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, I have used cottage rose, poppies, 15mm roses and 10mm roses.

Wild Orchid Challenge

Don’t keel over now, two cards in two days from me!  I tell ya I shocked myself haha.  But the new Saturated Canary stamps from Little Darlings have really given me the kick in the wotsit I needed to get back into my craft room (even though I had to hide my Kindle away from myself!)

This week’s Wild Orchid Challenge is This week the challenge is SUNSHINE – use the sun as inspiration i.e. hot, rays, colours, temperature, season, etc.  Not sure where the sunshine comes in here but seeing as soon as we get some rays (not that there have been many of those in the UK) we are all outside so that’s where my very loose interpretation comes in!

A close up of Rose Red, isn’t she just so pretty!

Fairy wishes

Oh my goodness, I have been without the internet for a few days and I have been tearing my hair out.  I love my iphone, don’t get me wrong but to try and use that exclusively instead of having my computer and wifi – gah!  It’s driven me nuts!  Still, I’m back online again so will be able to get some stuff posted.

I’m late for the Saturated Canary challenge, but better late than never.  This week’s challenge is All things bright and beautiful with the option to follow a colour board, well me being me …. I sort of more or less(ish) followed it haha.

I have used one of the new rubber stamps, this is Fairy Wishes – isn’t she just a doll!  And of course coloured with the usual copics and pencils.  Oh and a touch of Glamour Dust for a bit of added bling.
