Autumn Leaves

A card for the men today.  I don’t know about you but I really struggle to make cards for men and usually end up buying them, so when this Silhouette Tree stamp arrived in my DT kit I thought it would be perfect for those hard to make cards.

I found this cute owl charm in my stash which fitted with the idea I had in my head whilst I was making this.  I cut the Autumn Ivy Leaves circle die from some of the paper that is in the pad, inked it whilst it was still in the die then inked the edges.

I coloured the Kraft Art Leaves with a dark brown marker.  Note I couldn’t NOT put flowers on, I tried sitting on my hands and nope, that so didn’t work lol.  I restrained myself tho, and only snuck two on.

I’m back on the Wee Stamps train again, I simply adore Sylvia Zet’s images.

The papers and tag are from the Nitwits Autumnal Bliss collection – so pretty!  I used a Spellbinders border set for the shaped and scalloped border.

Happy Birthday

A quick card from me today, the last month hasn’t been the best – I lost my mom suddenly a few weeks back so my head and my heart hasn’t been in my craft room.  And my health has not been behaving, if the cardiologist or GP put me on any more medication you’ll hear me coming before I even leave.  23 tablets a day is no fun, I can tell you.

Anyhoo, enough moaning and feeling sorry for myself.  Here’s my quick card.

bev-rochester-noor-271015-1

I’ve used lots of Noor Design products – isn’t that butterfly just delish?!  It’s vellum, although that’s not showing up very well in the photos sadly.  I dipped my finger in some gold paint and edged the butterfly and also dabbed some on the flowers.

bev-rochester-noor-271015-3

I used papers from a couple of pads, I think they work well together

Vintage Christmas Wishes

I ordered some sheets of images from Live Love Crafts a few weeks back.  The image on today’s card is from a Pion Design sheet, I just adore the rich colours, so pretty.

bev-rochester-noor-pion-vintage-xmas

I coated the trees with gel medium then applied Distress Glitter, once dry I added silver pearls to the trees to serve as baubles.

I love how the papers from Noor Design work so well with the image.

Wee Lullaby

I’m still working through some of my favourite stamps, this little cutie called Lullaby from Whimsy Stamps is one of them

bev-rochester-wee-lullaby

I got me some of those new Sweet Dixie dies from Crafts U Love last week and had a bit of a play, and I’m impressed.  The dies are extremely reasonable (dirt cheap in fact) and cut beautifully.  The large snowflake and the lamp post were both under £5!

Copic colours used:
Hair – E49, 47, 44, 42, 40
Skin – E13, 11, 00, 000, R20
Scarf – G02, 00, 000, 0000
Dress – R21, 20, 00, 000, 0000

Miss Frosty

Sylvia Zet’s images make my heart melt into a puddle of goo, and Miss Frosty from Whimsy Stamps is no exception.

How cute are these little ice skates?  I rubbed some milled lavender Distress Ink over them before removing from the die, then adhered a Joy charm at the top to “dangle” them from.

Merry Bunnies

I’m going to extremes with my Christmas cards this year.  From blue and white to pink and green.  I used Christmas Bunny Stockings from Whimsy stamps and paired it with their new Merry large word die.  I’ve also used the gorgeous Noor Design 8 point die behind the image.  The mistletoe is from a Magnolia die.
