Blue and White Christmas

I love blue and white for Christmas cards.  Add a bit of bling and I’m one happy girl

bev-rochester-noor-blue-and-white-christmas

I traced around the die cut so I could get a flat mat to fit the die cut shape (if that makes sense?) then raised the die cut with finely cut sticky foam to give it a more 3D look, which typically is not showing up very well in the photo.  I also applied Stickles to the centre snowflake for a bit of extra bling.

Maybe you can see it better in the next couple of pics?

Chloe

I’m revisiting some of my older stamps, sheesh I have so many favourites that it took me a while to decide which one to use.  Chloe by Whimsy Stamps won out, I just love her sweet face.

I coloured her up with copic markers:
Skin: E13, 11, 00, 000, R20
Hair: E49, 47, 44, 42, 40
Basket: E44, 42, 40

Pants & sleeves: B02, 01, 00, 000, 0000
Grass: YG67, 63, 20

I used a few dies on this one - my favourite doily die by Prima, the the delish lace border die by Joanna Sheen, Tim Holtz typewriter alphabet die, and Noor Design butterflies.

The yummy papers are by Lemoncraft.

And of course lots of Wild Orchid Crafts deliciousness – Sweetheart  blossoms, lilies, cosmos daisies, open roses and a tea rose.

I had such fun making this card, the colours are just so pretty.

Winter Wonderland

A super quick card today, using one of the sweetest pre-printed images.  I love birds, I swear we spend more on bird food than we do on the dogs, and that’s saying something lol.

bev-rochester-noor-winter-wonderland

I have used some new and some not so new goodies from Noor Design, the gorgeous doily is new, as is the paper and image.

Sugar Nellie Christmas

I LOVE these Sugar Nellie stamps, I just wish they would release more of them.  I have had this sweetie coloured for ages - naughty me because I almost always make the card up first then match the colours in the papers to the image.  Still, it all worked out this time with the perfect colour match in the papers.

I treated myself to some (more – lol) dies, the Christmas Trees are by Spellbinders and they are FAB!

The magic of winter

I’ve used the new Tear Drop shape template from Noor Design and also the Pumpkin Box Art template for a little Christmas gift and card.  I love the box, makes a nice change from the traditional cracker shape, I think I am going to make up a set of these for the table this year.

bev-rochester-noor-shape-challenge1-9-1

I used one of the Happy Holidays pictures, these make for such quick and easy cards.

A closer look at the gift box, too cute!

Boo!

I’m not big on Halloween so was a bit out of my comfort zone when my new DT kit arrived.  Then, I got me thinking cap on and decided to alter a couple of the houses for my daughter to hang in her front porch (she does it in a big way whereas grandma here hides away on the 31st ha!)

I covered the houses with paper, inked the edges thing blinged out with black stickles

bev-rochester-noor-haunted-houses3

I die cut the fence then chopped into it so I could get it to look wonky.  I painted the trees from the Forest Animals paper art with black gesso and hand cut some bats from black cardstock.

bev-rochester-noor-haunted-houses1

The second house I downloaded a tombstone clipart and coloured up with copics then adhered using foam pads.  Again, I painted one of the trees and also a strip of grass from the Forest Animals paper art with black gesso and popped on more bats.  The spiders and webs are from the Black Spider Paper Art.

Christmas Fairy

I had a play with distress reinkers last weekend, I’ve not coloured with them for ages and am really rusty.  I still much prefer the pop I get with copic markers but am reasonably happy with how this one turned out.

Love these berries, some in each bunch have a pearly sheen.

Jeepers Creepers, where’d you get those peepers

It’s a new month so a new challenge at Noor! Design, and this month it’s shaped cards.  So, I used the new Owl shape and came up with this little cutie.

bev-rochester-noor-shape-challenge1-9-a

Check out them eyelashes lol

bev-rochester-noor-shape-challenge1-9-b

I then decided to use the other new shape template and made a little bag to pop some sweeties in for my little granddaughter.  These templates are such a doddle to use and I love that I can change it up from a card to a gift bag.
