Just wavin’ to say hello

I’m back … again!  Good grief, get totally carried away Bev!  This was a super quick make, I love these vintage looking images from Noor! Design.

bev-rochester-noor-seaside1-1

I’ve heat embossed the Paper Art elements with Frantage Old Silver, LOVE the look you get, from paper to metal charm lookalikes in a matter of seconds.

bev-rochester-noor-seaside1-2

I’ve used the All at Sea paper pad, the browns in the flowers work so well with the blues in the pad.

You keep me anchored

Smthing a bit different today.  It’s my DT card for Noor! Design and this one pushed the boundaries I can tell you.  It’s also (sort of) got me out of the pink phase.  When I first saw the stencil I had no idea what to do with it, but ended up having a total blast playing and really love how this turned out.

bev-rochester-lotv-noor-seaside2-1

Now then, I coloured this image absolutely ages ago, so can’t remember the colours.  However I think these are what I used:

Skin: E13, 11, 00, 000, R20
Hair: E44, 42, 40
Blue: N5, BG75, 72, 70
Green: N5, YG03, 01, 00, 0000
Shells, seahorse: E33, 31, 30

bev-rochester-lotv-noor-seaside2-2

The leaf shape is on the stencil, love how it works with the flowers and still keeps the sea theme.  I used the new Dutch Doobadoo Wavy Mask to create the bubbles, they look awesome peeking out behind the flowers

bev-rochester-lotv-noor-seaside2-4

I’ve had such fun with this month’s release – it pushed my boundaries and kept me away from pink!

Picked Sweet

Seeing as I dug out some of my older papers that I was terrified to cut in to last week, I decided to revisit some of my favourite images as well, and Picked Sweet from Whimsy Stamps is the first.  I had forgotten just how much I love Elisabeth Bell’s work …. my bad!  So, I had a good old play in my craft room yesterday.  I ended up making a couple of cards, it’s amazing what I can get done when I plug the iPod in and listen to a book whilst working.  The day just flew by, and it’s a win because I don’t feel guilty sitting with my nose in my Kindle all day.

I used the delish Anna Griffin papers again, the same papers as my last card just a different colour way.  See, I told you I had a problem ha!  Ugh the card looks skew whiff, it’s not – it’s the pants photographer.

Retirement card

Phew, I’m going great guns – it’s either feast or famine with me lol.  A card on Sunday, one this morning, and another to come this evening.  Sheesh, I need a holiday to recover ha!

So, for my Noor! Design DT post this week I decided to make a blokey retirement card , aren’t they just so darn difficult to make but with the new Card Art templates it made this a doddle.

bev-rochester-lotv-noor-seaside3-1

I embossed the Nautical Paper Art with Frantage embossing powder.  LOVE this effect.

bev-rochester-lotv-noor-seaside3-3

Collecting Sea Shells and some candy too

Please scroll down to the end of the post for the candy deets.  Last week’s winners were announced in the previous post.

I love this Stamps Happen Collecting Sea Shells stamps.  I have had it for years and think this is only the second time I have inked it up.  When I found this I decided to mooch through the obscene amount of papers that I have, and I mean obscene.  I frightened myself when I realised just how much money I have spent on this hobby over the years.  Anyhoo, I found a box of Anna Griffin papers that I kept for stroking (as you do!) and nope, not gonna be doing that any more.  So out they came and I didn’t even shudder at the thought of cutting in to them.  I also used one of the plain blue/grey papers from the Sea Shore pad which I ran through the die cutter in an embossing folder then sanded for texture.

bev-rochester-stamps-happen-collecting-seashells2

Coloured with copic markers, I used:

Skin and hair: E13, 11, 00, 000, R20; E49, 59, 57, 53, 50
Dress: N5, NG75, 72, 70’'; C1, 0, 00
Sand: E33, 31, 30; W7, 5, 3

bev-rochester-stamps-happen-collecting-seashells3

I used one of the Dutch Doobadoo Shape Art templates.  Love these, they are such a doddle to use as well.

bev-rochester-stamps-happen-collecting-seashellsjpg

Isn’t that organza trim just divine?  Light and frothy and perfect for a seaside themed card.

bev-rochester-stamps-happen-collecting-seashells4

I coloured the lighthouse with copic markers (W7, 5, 3, 1) after die cutting

Nautical and Shabby and more candy too!

Please scroll down to the bottom of the post for the candy details.

I’ve a couple of Dutch Doobadoo MDF projects to share today, a calendar using the fab Ship’s Wheel and just because I have to have me some pink I also decorated a door hanger.

bev-rochester-dutch-doobadoo-ship-wheel-calendar

I painted the wheel with gold acrylic paint, then a coat of crackle medium then finished off with white acrylic paint.  I added a brass 100 year calendar to the centre (this puppy was MADE for the wheel!).  I got the calendar here

bev-rochester-dutch-doobadoo-ship-wheel-calendar3

The embellishments are from the new paper art.  These are fab!  I embossed these with Old Silver Frantage embossing powder.  I love the look this gives, and totally transforms the paper art.

bev-rochester-dutch-doobadoo-ship-wheel-calendar4

For my next project I went so totally PINK!  I used the gorgeous Vintage wood papers from Noor! Design

A little fairy for the Noor! Design Challenge

Yep, I’m an official member of the Noor! Design UK DT – how cool is that?!  It’s my first day on the DT and I join with the April Challenge, which is Anything Goes, so seeing as I am majorly into fairies at the mo, I dug out one of these adorable Pergamano fairy stamps.  I’m almost certain it’s by  Marina Fedotova, the artist that did the Sugar Nellie, Nellie Snellen and Scrapberry’s stamps.

Apologies in advance for the picture heavy post.

bev-rochester-pergamano-fairy

Loving the delish papers, they are from Noor! Design and are linked at the end of the post along with the other products I have used from Noor and Wild Orchid Crafts.

Copic colours used:
Hair: E57, 55, 53, 50
Skin: E13, 11, 00, 000, R20
Pinks: RV95, 93, 91, 000, 0000; G46, 43, 40

Love the cameo frame, it started life off bright pink so I doused it in white gesso.  That stuff covers up anything Smile  Did you spot the new little organza flower?  Yum!
