New baby card

I had a play with the old Distress Inks last night and hmm ….. I still think I prefer the rich controlled look  I get with Copics as opposed to the washed out look the inks give.  Each to their own and all that but give me my Copics any day!

The stamp is Playful Kitten from Lili of the Valley, and I have used the little sentiment tags from the Babies Companion Stamps set.  The papers are Nitwit Collections Great Expectations kit, the seam binding, lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The little pearl hearts are also from WOC.

And talking of new babies, my newest little granddaughter Ava Bella was due Sunday gone, so fingers crossed she arrives any day now and does not keep us waiting and in suspense for too much longerSmile

  1. I Love this card, even though I have to agree with you about Copics! I am sold on them and just getting to grips with the technique!
    About the card, it is a gorgeous image and I love your colour scheme. YOu always finish off your cards so well with embellishments. I am a great fan!

    beautiful card, I am with you on the copics, although you have made a beautiful card with the inks, so it just goes to show me (what I already knew) that you are such a talented artist you can make any medium that you use FAB-U-LUS. You must be soooooooo excited, awaiting the arrival of Ava Belle (what a beautiful name), I bet the card is already made and waiting for her to arrive.

  37. You're so lucky to be expecting a new grand baby!!! I think the distress inks work best for highlighting hair and such--I love my Copics, too. But I think you could color with crayons and do an outstanding job!!! Very adorable card...

  46. Guess I'm the odd one out ... I love how soft and subtle the distress inks look. Then again, when you are artistically gifted as you are Bev, you could most likely make sidewalk chalk look good!

    I don´t have any marker and color with pencils, I like how the copic colored images look too, but I love how the ink colored images look as well.
    Your card is beautiful, the image is great and the LO and the embellishments are gorgeous!
