Happy Monday! It’s Wild Orchid Challenge day and this time our challenge is White + 1. So me being me I opted for Pink plus one. It’s more of a shell pink, just adore this colour! And what goes better with this dreamy paper than a Saturated Canary image! I am so in love with Krista’s work, this girlie is just amazing! The image is called Dorothy, how cute is that little puppy dog peeking out of the basket with his blankie lol.

The paper is from the Echo Park - Style Essentials - Runway Collection Kit, the image has been coloured with Copics and matted on to a Swedish Spring Oval Frame die cut.
The copics used are
Hair and puppy: E29, 23, 50 and Dark Umber pencil
Skin: E11, 00, 000, 0000, R20
Basket: E37, 33, 30
Dress, socks and shoes: R22, 20, 00, 000, 0000 and Rose Pale pencil
Grass: G46, 43, 40 and Olive Green pencil

The butterfly border die is by Tim Holtz. I inked the edges with Spun Sugar Distress Ink then added some pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts. I heat embossed the metal corners that started life out as silver with white embossing powder, and I did the same to the frame for the sentiment. Another item I wish I had bought more of when I was in the States. The gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the lace and seam binding. Flowers used are sweetheart blossoms, 20mm roses, 25mm rose, trellis rose. And I finished it off with some white punched leaves, a Crown Pin and a couple of round pins.

And whilst I was photographing this card in the dining room this egg that I decorated a good few years back caught my eye so I thought I would share it here seeing as it fits in with the challenge as well. This was a total labour of love, the entire egg was marked into a diamond shaped grid pattern, then the area for the clock was cut out with a drill. I then used pink Swarovski rhinestone chain over the trellis pattern marks then covered each diamond shape with irridescent pearl seed beads. OMW it too me forever to do (and I made two – couldn’t not do one for my best mate now could I lol). Then I went and taught this at a convention ….. what was I thinking of???? Even the base has been covered in those wretched pearl beads lol

And a close up of the bead work – never again lol.

And on that note I am signing off, I have exhausted myself just explaining what I did rofl. Have a fabulous week, and if I can be brave enough I will photograph some more of my decorated eggs to show you sometime.
And don’t forget it’s release day at Lili of the Valley so make sure you don’t miss out!
hugs
