Mini Magnolia - Candy Winner

So without further ado, the lucky lady is

Rachael

Congratulations sweets, please email me your address so I can post them off to you.  Please put Mini Magnolia candy in the subject line.

Just Magnolia and some candy for you

I managed to get a card done for this week’s Just Magnolia challenge which is a nice and easy one.  All you have to do is use some form doily on your card.  So I have used the Swedish Spring Oval Frame die cut as my doily.

Afternoon Tea

It’s Lili’s Little Fairies challenge day today, hopefully Lili’s Little Fairies is back on track this week, we had a bit of a blip last week as Jacqui has been ill.  So this week our challenge is afternoon tea and I thought this Bunny Cupcakes would be perfect for the challenge

bev-rochester-lotv-bunny-cupcakes

I have quite a bit of work on and also lots of samples to make for the new Lili of the Valley shop so when I need a quick card with a lot of impact I reach for my XXL Frames dies by Go Kreate.  They are such fab dies and perfect for something different.  I’m sorry but I have no idea what the make of the paper is, I was having a cardmaking marathon when I made this card before setting off for CHA last month and there was paper EVERYWHERE lol.  I don’t think my paper stash will ever be the same again haha.

The beautiful flowers, organza ribbon and rhinestones are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I used lilies, sweetheart blossoms and a small curly wild rose and blinged them up with my home made glimmer spray and Stickles.

The image was coloured with Promarkers and pencils.

Copic/Promarker Storage for those that have been asking …..

Ever since I posted pictures of my new craft room I have had loads of emails asking where I got my Marker storage from.  Well, a friend got it for me (thanks sweetie mwah xxx) but the company that was selling them stopped doing so as a stand alone unit and if you want the MDF case you need to buy it complete with markers (not even sure what markers they are – never heard of them before).  I was gutted as I wanted a second one to house my Promarkers so I could have both sets of markers on my desk but could not justify paying a £100 odd just for the MDF case, currently my Promarkers and Flexmarkers are housed in a bag.

Well, last night on Facebook I stumbled across THESE!!!!!  Whoop whoopeee dooooo.  And of course I went for the BIG BOY lol, that way I can hopefully house all my Copics and some of my Promarkers/Flexmarkers with the rest in my original box.  Aren’t they fab!!

And if you want one you can get it at Vixx Craft Storage, it’s okay you can rush across and order yours, I ordered mine last night rofl.

I do have a card for my blog today, but it won’t be up till later ….. it’s a sneak peek Winking smile

So see you then

Is spring on the way?

I sure do hope so, I am loving the lighter afternoons instead of going to work and coming home in the black dark.  So I decided to help spring on its way today and made a card with one of the new Stampavie images by Penny Johnson.

Bev-Rochester-Stampavie-Little-Tobi-watering-the-roses

The stamp is Little Tobi watering the Roses and the sentiment is also one of their new release from the With Love SentimentsThe paper is from the My Mind’s Eye Vanity Fair pad.

The lace, 10mm roses, 25mm hybrid tea rose, aster daisies and large rose are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Bev-Rochester-Stampavie-Little-Tobi-watering-the-roses1

That’s it from me today, I am running late again (serves me right for staying up to watch Sir Tim on QVC last night/this morning!)

White +1 at Wild Orchid Challenge and one I did earlier

Happy Monday!  It’s Wild Orchid Challenge day and this time our challenge is White + 1.  So me being me I opted for Pink plus one.  It’s more of a shell pink, just adore this colour!  And what goes better with this dreamy paper than a Saturated Canary image!  I am so in love with Krista’s work, this girlie is just amazing!  The image is called Dorothy, how cute is that little puppy dog peeking out of the basket with his blankie lol.

Bev-Rochester-Saturated-Canary-Dorothy

The paper is from the Echo Park - Style Essentials - Runway Collection Kit, the image has been coloured with Copics and matted on to a Swedish Spring Oval Frame die cut.

The copics used are
Hair and puppy: E29, 23, 50 and Dark Umber pencil
Skin: E11, 00, 000, 0000, R20
Basket: E37, 33, 30
Dress, socks and shoes: R22, 20, 00, 000, 0000 and Rose Pale pencil
Grass: G46, 43, 40 and Olive Green pencil

Bev-Rochester-Saturated-Canary-Dorothy1

The butterfly border die is by Tim Holtz.  I inked the edges with Spun Sugar Distress Ink then added some pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I heat embossed the metal corners that started life out as silver with white embossing powder, and I did the same to the frame for the sentiment.  Another item I wish I had bought more of when I was in the States.  The gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the lace and seam binding.  Flowers used are sweetheart blossoms, 20mm roses, 25mm rose, trellis rose.  And I finished it off with some white punched leaves, a Crown Pin and a couple of round pins.

Bev-Rochester-Saturated-Canary-Dorothy2

And whilst I was photographing this card in the dining room this egg that I decorated a good few years back caught my eye so I thought I would share it here seeing as it fits in with the challenge as well.  This was a total labour of love, the entire egg was marked into a diamond shaped grid pattern, then the area for the clock was cut out with a drill.  I then used pink Swarovski rhinestone chain over the trellis pattern marks then covered each diamond shape with irridescent pearl seed beads.  OMW it too me forever to do (and I made two – couldn’t not do one for my best mate now could I lol).  Then I went and taught this at a convention ….. what was I thinking of????  Even the base has been covered in those wretched pearl beads lol Smile with tongue out

Bev-Rochester-Beaded-goose-egg-clock

And a close up of the bead work – never again lol.

Bev-Rochester-Beaded-goose-egg-clock1

And on that note I am signing off, I have exhausted myself just explaining what I did rofl.  Have a fabulous week, and if I can be brave enough I will photograph some more of my decorated eggs to show you sometime.

And don’t forget it’s release day at Lili of the Valley so make sure you don’t miss out!

hugs

Angelique

Congratulations Angelique, please email me your address to claim your prize.

Happy birthday

That’s the challenge at Paper Sundaes and Lili of the Valley are sponsoring the challenge and they kindly asked if any of the LOTF DT would like to Guest Design for this week – Fleur and I accepted their kind offer.  So I thought I would use one of the new release stamps that go on sale tomorrow …. not long now girls Smile

bev-rochester-lotv-party-girl

This little sweetie is called Party Girl and has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  The paper is old Making Memories.  The sentiment is from the Greetings Postmarks sentiments set from LOTV.  The seam binding, 25mm wild rose, 30mm wild rose and sweetheart blossoms are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The card was cut with a Go Kreate XXL Frame die and those gorgeous glittery leaves I picked up when I was in the USA.  And guess what?!?  I only picked up one stem, OMW I am so stupid at times lol.

That’s it from me today, I will be back later to draw a winner for my candy as well as the candy running on the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog so if you have not entered pop across now, you have until this evening.

hugs
