Gift Wrapped

I love the Lili of the Valley bunny stamps, they are the sweetest little things so a couple of weeks ago I thought I would dig some out again and have a play.  This is Gift Wrapped and it is on offer at 30% off at Lili of the Valley along with a heap of other spring themed stamps.  You can see them here.  I have also used a sentiment from the For Her Sentiments

bev-rochester-lotv-gift-wrapped-blue

I have used Bo Bunny Welcome Home pad, with organza ribbon, doily, trellis rose, cherry blossoms and 15mm roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Love Grows

A quick post from me today, I need to get all my posts scheduled for the next week and a bit, then start getting clothes and stuff out to pack.  OMG I am running so behind (so what’s new there then Bev??)

My card today is a totally new colour scheme for me.  It’s not often I colour with the E93 – E99 family but I love this Prima Romantique paper so it had to be done.  The pretty lace is Grand Lace Trim but I am being frugal and cut it in half, so twice the lace for 1/2 the price lol

bev-rochester-lotv-love-grows

The stamp is Love Grows from Lili of the Valley.  I have also used the new Love Sentiments and Grunge Corners on the card.  These stamps are just totally fab and having them clear is such a bonus.

The seam binding and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I used 4mm rose buds, 15mm roses, 20mm roses and 25mm hybrid tea rose

A close up of the heart from the Love Sentiments which I stamped onto Kraft in Walnut Stain then stamped the Cherish sentiment in black ink.

bev-rochester-lotv-love-grows2

The inside showing the Grunge Corners in use, love them (think I already said that lol)

A close up of the image, I coloured the sky with the ink and brush technique (video tutorial on my Video Tutorials page.

And that’s it from me today, must dash Smile

New Lili of the Valley stamps out now!!!

jan2012advert

Lili of the Valley have launched their new Love Sentiments and Grunge Corners.  I have been using them for the past few days and they are going to be the stamps that never get put away Smile  I love the grunge corners, at last a grungy look with clear stamps so no more guess work!!

As well as these two new A5 clear sheets which are great value at £12.50, they also have some fantastic Spring offers on 20 stamps on a new Special Offers Page.

For those of you waiting for new cute images, don’t worry, the LOTV girls are working some amazing new designs which will be out in the next couple of months.

Just Magnolia challenge

When I saw what this week’s challenge was on Just Magnolia challenge I was stumped with what to do.  It’s to feature a window or door on your project.  I don’t have either as a stamp that would have worked so I decided to make a “window” by doing a shaker card.

bev-rochester-magnolia-tilda-with-daisies

I have used Tilda with Daisy and yes, I paired her with that gorgeous First Edition Isabelle paper pad again.  I just can’t get enough of this pad!

I found some clear irridescent seed pearls in my beading stash that were perfect, as you can still see the image through them.

bev-rochester-magnolia-tilda-with-daisies1

I coloured the image with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.

Hair E57, 42, 41, 40 and light umber pencil
Skin E11, 00, 000, 0000, R20, R30
Dress, shoes, bow R30, 00, 000, 0000 and blush pink pencil (centre of flower YR24, Y11)

bev-rochester-magnolia-tilda-with-daisies3

And as per I have decorated the inside.  The border die is a Do-Crafts die that I picked up last year … so pretty.  The sentiment is from the new Stampavie release that will be on sale after CHA.  There are 5 fabulous sets.  The seam binding and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - 30mm wild rose, lilies, 20mm roses, 15mm roses.  I just free-handed the leaves from some scrap card.

bev-rochester-magnolia-tilda-with-daisies2

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  Don’t forget to keep an eye on the Whimsy Blog, all the sneak peek links are updated each day.  I’ve got sneak peeks to share on Sunday and Wednesday next week.

hugs
