Monday already! But I got caught up with my DT work this weekend, I love not having to hit the ground running on a Monday because I’ve stared the week off already behind lol.
It’s Wild Orchid Challenge day today and I have used a summery Lili of the Valley image, I was going to try and show another sneak peek but Christmas cards and Summer Flowers just don’t work lol. However, there will be sneak peeks on the Ideas to Inspire blog today and tomorrow we are having a blog hop to showcase the new release …… with prizes along the way so stay tuned.
I have used the gorgeous new paper pads that Lili of the Valley have done in collaboration with Nitwits, this pad is Promises. For a girl who don’t like purples and lilacs I seem to be using those colours a lot lately.
I used Distress Markers and Inks to colour the image. I used Iced Spruce for the dress, Dusty Concord and Milled Lavender for the cardigan, bows and shoes, Tattered Rose and Vintage Photo for the skin with a touch of Fired Brick for her cheeks, Antique Linen and Walnut Stain for her hair, Scattered Straw for the box of chocolates and Peeled Paint for the grass.
The flowers that I used are Trellis Rose, Chrysanthemum, Poppies, Sweetheart Blossoms, 6mm rose buds, and added some white rose leaves. I used white organza ribbon and finished off the punched butterfly with lilac pearls.
And as always I finished off the inside to compliment the front.
Hope you can join in the challenge this week.
