Just Magnolia

Am I glad it’s Friday!  These weeks just get more hectic (I wonder if it’s an age thing lol).  Anyway this week the challenge is Anything Goes with the option of stitching at Just Magnolia challenge and we are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp with a fab $25 voucher for the lucky winner to spend in their store.

So I was very brave and cut in to some of the delish papers I picked up when I was in the States on our shopping expedition hitting all the craft shops.  The papers are Making Memories and Karen Foster (gingham).  Totally love the colours, and it’s been a while since I coloured reds.  And talking of reds I had a bit of an experiment and tried a different colour combo this time and am really pleased with it, not too pink and not too orange, just right although it don’t look that great in the photos.

The wee sentiment charm is another of my finds on our craft shopping tour.

The copics and pencils I used are

Reds: E09, R46, 17, 14 and Tuscan Red pencil
Beige: E43, 42, 41, 40 and French Grey 50% pencil
Hair: E25, 23, 50 and Dark Umber Pencil
Skin: E11, 00, 000, 0000, R20, R30
Shadow (ground) W3, 1, 00
Shadow around Tilda: Muted Turquoise pencil
Greens: YG63, 61, G20

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts: 25mm hybrid tea rose, 20mm roses, 15mm roses, 10mm roses.
